All right! So here’s the entry on What Kind of Hit Counters to Use . I’ve only tried a few though but I’ve decided to just share with you guys which hit counters are the better ones in my opinion.
First off, I’ve been testing hit counters from the following websites: www.amazingcounter.com , www.tinycounter.com , www.flagcounter.com , www.easycounter.com , www.statcounter.com in private entries. The ones that I’ve placed in the sidebars come from statcounter and flagcounter.
I would recommend statcounter — it’s easy to use, easy to configure and offers lots of information for a free account. When using statcounters, all you need to do is to sign up for an account, configure your counter and choose the options like what number you would like to start count on. Another point why I like statcounter is that you can choose how long a visitor needs to take before he’s counted as a unique visitor again. As I want my hits to be reliable, and I don’t want to inflate my hit counts just so… it looks good, I like this option very much because you can choose whether a visitor needs to visit from 30mins-24hours later before his visit is counted as a unique hit again. [Note: Pageloads are counted by hits while unique vistors are apparently tracked by cookies, uhm not the ones you eat but some IT thing. This means that if VisitorX comes to my livejournal and refreshed a page 10 times, a counter that counts pageloads will inflate by 10 counts but a counter that counts only unique visitors will only inflate by 1 count]
Also, statcounter.com offers statistics based on 500 pageloads like popular pages, visitors paths, visit lengths and more detailed information that help a lot in analysing what exactly is on your site that attracts readers. The thing is, if I’m not wrong, some of the statistics are based on only 500 page loads. If you want to base it on more than 500 pageloads, you will then need to pay a sum of money.
For flagcounters, it is useful because you can track what country each visitor comes from and which country your site is most popular in. However, I realise that flagcounter.com does not allow you to change the duration of the session each visitor has to take before he’s counted as unique again, so it might actually increase at a faster rate than the statcounter. This is not to say though that it’s not reliable; it’s just that it does inflate more quickly that’s all.
As for the rest of the counters, as I have mentioned before, they seem to count hits in a very weird way. Even though I have chose the option of "Unique visitors", they seem to count pageloads or simply stop counting hits at times. Also, sometimes, for the tinycounter.com, it does not count any hits except when you actually press on the hit counter itself, which is you know kinda weird.
I do need to clarify that I have tested all these counters in private entries and I have no idea if putting them in private entries will hinder their function in any way. However, the statcounter and the flagcounter that are in my private entries tally with the ones in the sidebars so they are not affected by whether it’s public or private.
All right, that’s the end of this entry! I hope it’s useful to you readers out there who might be a little curious as to how many hits your sites are getting. Each person requires a different thing, so go on and search for that hit counter that works to your wants(:
On a side note, statcounter might be a little confusing because there are just so many statistics that are offered based on the analysis of your pageloads and unique visitors. However, that is a plus point as well, isn’t it?

okay, you have to go to your journal style, and under customize your journal, you can find tabs at the side. Go the sidebar tab, and scroll to the bottom. There, you can find all the sidebars stuff you have, and you can set one of them to ‘custom’. After that, paste the flagcounter link in the box below! Ta da!

Haha yeah! But in the end the company wanted Aaron to film Love Buffet instead, so Jiro took over the lead. I think… it might have helped a lot actually, because after finishing MIT, I must say the chemistry between GuiGui and Aaron is really great! Whereas one of the points why I didn’t like MoMo Love was because Jiro + Cindi doesn’t have that spark.
Buzzer Beat is greaaaaat. One of my favourite dramas ever! It’s one of the rare conventional Jap romance dramas:D
Lol not very long, now that I’ve finished 2 of them (I had a recent post on what is my to-watch list:D) Ooh I’ve only watched Nobuta Wo Produce out of your list; it’s the first drama of Yamapi that I’ve watched:P (Other than being an Aaron fan, I’m a Yamapi fan as well).

Yes I agree with you, the 500 words thing was argh not doing justice to Xiao Le! And I could see why other people might feel that it’s getting a little draggy, especially with the sudden reappearance of Zhang Ai Li, but this episode does help in contributing to Mu Cheng and Guang Xi understanding each other better.
I hate the post drama feeling too! My drama blues are always very bad, especially when I love the characters inside, I just want to watch more of their world!Sure, I look forward to your comment!^^

As a person who cannot understand Korean, but who has come to watch this drama, I thought this post was informative since there’s not a lot of people that translate these interviews. Translation is not easy though, so I can understand.
I thought a lot of what he said was interesting… and shows that the drama team has put a lot of thought into this production. Even though the drama wasn’t perfect, reading about the thoughts of actors/producers make me come to appreciate how difficult it is to create good drama.

You were most definitely right about it 🙂 I haven’t really had any drama blues after it but it was a little difficult to get used to watching other dramas because City Hunter was always so exciting. I know, I can’t believe their weren’t more developments between Nana and Yoon Sung – even a hug at the end would have worked for me 🙂

Did you notice that Ping-an is wearing a blue and white striped top identical to what You quing was wearing in the taichung episode when Li Da ren came after her in the light of the Nic debacle? It’s really nothing but I just noticed it.

I felt much the same way about writing recaps. I realized I was spending hours writing about dramas I didn’t love and minutes writing about dramas I love. I write about every drama I watch. I decided that I’d write what I felt like writing or post what I wanted and not worry so much about the details. I didn’t want writing to become a chore. I think everyone goes through that.

The young actors totally sold the drama for me esp. Yeo Jin Goo(Hwon) , Lee Min Ho(YM) and Kim Yoo Jung (YW). Most of the time I judge actors performance on how moved I am with it, and these young ones just blew me away. I felt the emotions that they wanted to convey. The eyes, nuances and chemistry, they totally nailed it. TBH, I’m still not feeling some of the adult actors. KSH(Hwon) is nailing his part and JIW(YM) is getting there. HGI(YW), she still needs to work on it. BUT, I’m still on-board, i owe it to the young actors.^^
