I was just thinking about all the current male actors dominating the scene and wondering where the Lee Min Ho went, when I found out that he has not disappeared after all (he did after all, act in Bounty Hunters) and will be coming back with a new drama on November 16 2016.

The show is basically about a mermaid (Jun Ji Hyun) from the Joseon era who met a con artist (Lee Min Ho) and their love story. Okay I probably simplified it a lot but we only have a few weeks before we find out the whole premise of the show.

I’m excited because these two leads are huge, so hopefully the show is going to be a blockbuster too. I mean, look at what happened with Descendants of the Sun! But Descendants was a smart show with smart writing and honestly, I don’t know how many Descendants we can pull off in just a year of 2016. Yes, that show blazed through the world only a few months ago and thereafter, we had really good ones such as W too. To be honest, I wasn’t impressed with the Heirs at all and totally stopped watching it towards the end so I’m really wishing that this upcoming drama isn’t just going to be all show and no substance.

I also find it amusing how Jun Ji Hyun is acting in shows with unorthodox characters. First, the alien and now, the mermaid. Alright! You will be able to catch Legend of the Blue Seas on  Viki!
