Secretly Greatly

Just caught the movie and I must say it has left a deep impression on me. It started off with lots of comedy, and often bordered on fan service, especially when Lee Hyun Woo turned up all cute and disguised as a high school student. It did have dark undertones, when Kim Soo Hyun/Dong Gu often writes letters to his mum back in North Korea and you just get a hint that this is a relationship that might never be reunited again. I don't want to say too much in case I spoil it for anyone, but let's just say it ain't all action and comedy. I really love the acting here, especially Kim Soo Hyun's. He alternates between the village idiot and his identity as a spy without a hitch — all sane and serious while talking to his comrades, a customer comes and bam, Dong Gu the idiot takes over. It's good and it reinforces what I've said on one of those Moon That Embraces The Sun recaps, that Kim Soo Hyun is …

season 4 episode 6

It’s getting better and better and I love this, everything is more on the stakes — Ashley being arrested, Emily being framed and the crossover to Ravenswood. I love how they use a different colour filter when it comes to Ravenswood. It’s all dark and ominous and I’m really looking forward to how Ravenswood will tie in with Rosewood! I just feel sad that Caleb has to leave the PLL set, it doesn’t feel right for Hanna to be with any one else:( I guess if Caleb is more useful in Ravenswood then he should go…it is exciting though because Ravenswood has a dominant sense of regret, sadness and mystery. I can’t wait!   <3thoughtsramble Posted via LiveJournal app for Android.

Tired!

Hahaha wow time really flies! I wanted to do some recaps on Just You, or Lucky Touch, but unfortunately didn't have any time. (I know same old excuse:P) I guess it's really hard for me to do anything recap-related because I'm having really major exams this year! So I'm really looking forward to next year, when I will have more time, and maybe I can write on thoughtsramble as frequently as I have done before(: Right now, I'm focusing more on studies, but occasionally I still drop by the dramaland, what with the consistent watching of Pretty Little Liars (So tempted to start on Once Upon A Time, and Downturn Abbey!! Has anyone watched this?) and when I'm freer, Just You + Lucky Touch + uh Barbie movies. I swear Barbie movies are therapeutic and mindless entertainment hahahaha. Hopefully I can drop by again soon! Hope all of you are living life well^^ <3thoughtsramble

Just You

Okay I was still having doubts during first half, mainly because Puff (has anyone told her how bad the name is) really grates my nerves with the way she shrieks her words but…towards the end she seems to have calmed down (finally) and then I start to think that hey this drama is not bad! I see Aaron (((: (I think his acting is not bad) and I think the storyline – some parts fluff, some parts secretive, some parts nonsensical, is what I need right now. Let’s just hope that Puff tones it down ><   ❤ thoughtsramble Posted via LiveJournal app for Android.

Oh?

Oh what is this, it didn't occur to me till now that Jiro's Fabulous Boys, Calvin's Lucky Touch and Aaron's Just You are all broadcasting now:O I hope none of the dramas are actually pitted against each other:/ are they even still under the same management? <3thoughtsramble

Some classical music

Have been listening to quite a bit of classical music recently (heard that it helps in concentration but never really pay heed to it) and I discovered Por Una Cadeza! Guys, you all should really listen to this because my first thought when I heard a few bars of this is omg is this what they always use in Kdramas? and I googled it, and yep indeed it's used in Scent of a Woman! But the problem is I've never watched this drama before, so I'm pretty sure other dramas used it too/ got inspired by it or whatever — listen to it and you will know what I mean, the tension and sadness in the piece is quite often used as the background of some depressing K scene! [On a random note, Canon in D is such a lovely classical piece, I don't care that it's cliche or whatever:P] Finished the last episode of A Clear Midsummer Night…mm it's okay not too bad heh. I really like it when on screen couples are real …

Random Muse

Another two shows on my radar right now: Just You (by Aaron Yan) and A Clear Midsummer Night!       The former started off okay, I mean I can never be biased against Aaron but I thought the girl lead was normal:/ like any other female Taiwanese leads…I don’t really like their accent sometimes where their voices go too high and they sound too cute. That being said, when she isn’t trying too hard to be a lively, bubbly girl, I actually quite like her. Well this is just the first episode so we will see how it goes. If I like it enough I might even recap it!(:       As for the latter, I’m watching it on and off and missing many episodes in between but from what I’ve catched so far, it’s pretty good! And the main couple is a real couple in reality, who wouldn’t love that chemistry   Posted via LiveJournal app for Android.

Pretty Little Liars New Season!

YIPEE. And I think my current favourite pair is Spoby! I'm not ditching Haleb, no, but it's kinda hard to ship them when Caleb is out of town. I'm so sad that he's leaving Rosewood sigh, please come home Caleb. Anyway this small bit from Season 4 Episode 1 is so cuteee. "See this, it's a fork! Can you use it to eat the breakfast that your boyfriend cooked for you?" "Love the way that sounds…you calling yourself my boyfriend?" "EATTT." AWW. Spence: "Is there any more coffee?" "Argh…goes against my better judgement, but this is your last cup." I want someone to make breakfast, and pour me coffeee toooo. <3thoughtsramble

Liebster Award:’)

I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy now because dear muchadoaboutlove from thetalkingcupboard.wordpress.com has nominated me for the Liebster Award! I must confess that I've never heard of this award till now, so I think it best that I quote from her: "Liebster is a German word that can be translated as ‘dearest’ in English but it can also give various meanings, such as ‘boyfriend’ and ‘sweetheart’. ‘Dearest’ sounds the most fitting in this situation since the Liebster Award is given by the bloggers to the other bloggers. It looks like a simple chain post thingy (which was quite a hit back then) but we can also discover new blogs through the tagged bloggers." And the cute thing about this, by accepting the nomination, we will have to answer questions! Kinda like a thank-you speech: List 11 random facts about yourself. Answer the questions designated by the blogger (s) who nominated you. Place YOUR nominations for the Liebster Award! Nominate five (or more) other bloggers that have less than 200 followers. Make sure to notify them …

Gu Family Book Episode 14

It's such a pity that I can't watch this series in peace and guilt-less conscience, but here I am, just a teeny bit ridden with guilt and just finished watching the latest episode! I really love Wol Ryung's return — didn't expect it but neither did it take me by surprise. Even if he has turned into a thousand year evil spirit, I think his character will provide a greater arc to the story. Somehow watching him and Kang Chi just keeps reminding me of Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker, (even though I must admit I have simply no idea what happened in Star Wars), so I was really happy and glad when they scraped the 'I am your father' revelation and instead have Kang Chi know this shocking fact quite early on. How he is going to deal with this fact will be the interesting part that I am waiting to see. Wol Ryung not having aged at all is good for the fangirl's eyes^^ He's still as cool as ever, and looks good …

Gu Family Book Episode 10

It's still going along well, and is being quite a good watch(: I watched it in bits and pieces, and hence my thoughts are every where as well. Nowadays, I find myself so tired at the end of everyday, that I watch drama episodes simply for entertainment — while I'm having dinner or when I wake up in the morning. I can feel that analytical side of me going a little down the drain and that makes me a bit sad. Nevertheless, here's my two cents worth: I enjoy the interactions between Kang Chi and Yeol Woo, and I can't wait for the feelings to grow even stronger. Yet my pity for Chung Jo grows as well — she's getting stronger as a character, while still remaining true to her original determined and prideful self. I don't doubt her feelings for Kang Chi, even though Kang Chi's feelings for her may be later explained as mere pity/mistaking her for a little sister. I was waiting and am still waiting for the chemistry between Kang Chi …

Gu Family Book Episode 9

Am always so busy nowadays:( But still trying to catch up with my dramas! Currently on Episode 9, at the very front, where Tae Soo just stabs Kang Chi in the stomach. One of the servants asks, "Isn't he bleeding too much?" YEAH DUDE, HE JUST GOT STABBED THROUGH HIS BODY!! How does it make sense that he didn't die immediately:O <3thoughtsramble

Phew

I've finally caught up with Gu Family Book — love it quite a bit, but it's always such a mood-killer! The love between Chung Jo and Kang Chi is so real and I feel the chemistry, but I already feel that sense of pity towards Chung Jo because she loves Kang Chi, yet Kang Chi's true fate lies with Yeo Wool. I'm not sure where this will exactly head towards, but I guess the final kills comes when Kang Chi realises that the man who kills his father is Yeo Wool's father! Bad blood right there? What's intriguing is why the two main characters are grinning away in this poster, while the rest of the characters take such sombre faces. Feels very out of place both with the general mood of the poster, as well as the current line of plot they are taking with the drama! Heh, but if this means that they are going to have a happy ending, I will be very happy:D Currently checking out Vampire Heaven, which is that sort of a …

Gu Family Book Episode 3

I would really love to recap this series but I don't know if there's any point to it since I probably can only do them a few days- a week later from the release of the episodes… we shall see! Anyway, as I've said before, I really, really love the first two episodes — it was like a mini-drama on its own, with a full story arc, that induce a somewhat mild version of drama blues in me. The third episode is quite lovely, but feels more of a setting the stage ready for the rest of the 21 episodes and I can't wait for it! Finally our couple meets, and whether or not they will create an impact as great on me as the first couple, I would love to find out. Suzy is so pretty!! She looks great even in guy wear^^ <3thoughtsramble

Gu Family Book

I believe I may be hooked! Read wiki, which happily summarised the first two episodes for me, so I only watched half of episode 1 but the full episode 2….and I love it:O The acting was awesome, the characters had great chemistry and it moved me to tears. Their sad love:( While it's incredibly sad (and annoying) that Seo Hwa betrayed Wol Ryung, it is quite congruous with her character that she would do so… so I guess no complaints there. Well, it would have been nice if we could see more of Wol Ryung^^ Can't wait for Episode 3 and 4!! <3thoughtsramble

ramble~

It's so easy to slip off from writing in thoughtsramble after not having done so for months (apologiess). I'm enjoying the rare breather before launching into another crazy madness in another month also…and I've not done much dramalandie stuff in this time — I did watch a few Barbie movies here and there to sate the urge for childish, innocent entertainment and kept up with Orange Marmalade, a wonderful webtoon/manga of sorts that I encourage all of you to check out:D Even the Barbie movies for that matter — I absolutely love them hehe. No one else does? With dramas, it's sort of an inertia matter. It's so hard to get started on one, once you have almost completely (never entirely completely:P) got out of dramaland for a month. But I'm gonna get started again for dramas are lovely^^ Just waiting to discover that one drama that will hook me on entirely! Will be back soon hopefully with more news! Take care everybardy <3thoughtsramble

WHOO

I'M BACK GUYS:D FREE LIKE A BIRD. uhm no. Hahaha sorry that was me going high~ I've been so out of the dramaland I'm completely lost on where I should get back in! There's School 2013 to finish, but other than that, zero plans. Anyone can clue me in please? <3thoughtsramble

HELLO

HELLO MY DEAR READERS I've been so so busy the past month that the days just fly by — I haven't even finished School 2013! I just had to ditch all the shows and focus on what I was involved with, and even now's not the time for taking breathers. But to keep my innate-drama-side entertained, I've been up to date with Pretty Little Liars, and might I say that the episodes just get better and better! I'm worried that they have cast too many red herrings and clues to tie up satisfactorily at the very very end, but that's a worry that shall be saved for the later. Hopefully I will be able to get back to Heung Soo and Nam Soon soon!! <3thoughtsramble

School 2013 Episode 13

No recap this time round, just another post of thoughts — Min Ki's face of hopelessness Nam Soon and In Jae looking up And then Min Ki, who sits there and cries</3 And how he tells In Jae that he's just a flower that's being shaken now, right? And I cannot stop loving this two HAHA At this point I stopped taking screenshots since I figured out that there's no time to write a recap..but it's still a good episode nevertheless — How Min Ki slowly overcomes his trauma, and how his mother and him have reached a compromise. I like In Jae's wise words as well, that while experiencing it, any upsetting events would seem like it's a big thing, but just have the strength to survive through that period, and you will come out stronger than before. And this is precisely wh I like School 2013, because it balances plot with life lessons, and not many dramas can do that without seeming like they are preaching I probably should find another whole list …

Aahhh School 2013 Episode 11

Oh my gawd! Am I just being strangely emotional today, or did someone feel like me too? Teared/cried three times watching School 2013. #1 was when Nam Soon eats his lunch with Heung Soo and he is stuffing all the food in his mouth and tearing. #2 was when Heung Soo tells Uhm Force that Nam Soon and him are just friends in the process of making up. (Oh my how I love this pair of friends. Their friendship is something relat-able. Something that we all can identify with.) #3 is this:

Time Travel Thoughts

Have been marathoning Queen In Hyun's Man, and am currently hooked on Episode 9…just got me thinking how interesting it is: the destruction of the talisman changes Hee Jin's world and Boong Do's world differently. In Hee-Jin's world, everything else changes but her memories, which means that essentially no one remembers Boong Do, and anything to do with him has to change such that there's not even a trace of him having been in that world. So. Which means that it's to create the idea that Boong Do has never time travelled, since the talisman technically didn't exist. On the other hand, in Boong Do's world, everything else remains the same but his memories. So, the bad guy's still in prison in Jeju, and the servant remembers how he always disappears…but he forgets everything in these two months that have gotten to do with time travel. It's all a bit mind-boggling. If the talisman didn't exist in Hee Jin's world, shouldn't it not exist in Boong Do's world as well? Or is it because the …

Queen In Hyun’s Man

How could I have not discovered this show?! It's amazing. I'm currently hooked on Episode 6 (I think it took me only half a day to get here) and yes I'm aiming to marathon this in two days. Someone recommended it to me but I've never really paid attention to it. Oh I should have.  Bung Do has a natural flair for being a player hahaha.  <3thoughtsramble
