I don’t know how they do it, but in my honest opinion, each episode just gets better in this show! And that ending, wow great editing that foreshadows what’s going to come in the next episode (finale) and yet manages to end this episode on a cliffhanger of sorts. And I thought I signed myself up for some Ferris Wheel, pleasant rom-com ride from Episode 1 to 20. This episode just proved me wrong with its thriller bits hahahaha (disclaimer: author’s heart is *really* weak so what thrills her may not thrill you hoho).

When I See You Again Episode 18 Recap

I really enjoyed this episode! I think the crying scenes were GREAT, the patching up between Mum and Daughter is gradual and logical, the conflict between the couple is slowly dissolving, You Qian and Yong Qing finally become the friends that they originally should have been, Yan Ze steps up on his game, a hint of a new relationship between Yong Qing and Ya Lu, and a very cool Jiang today. What an awesome episode that ties in so many storylines into 60 minutes! If the entire show had been this tight, relatively fast-paced and diverse, it would have been a great show. But it’s okay! I did love watching the pleasant couple-only scenes in the first 8 episodes hahaha. BECAUSE I AM MISSING THE COUPLE SCENES SO MUCH NOW. GIVE THEM BACK TO ME.

(Notice that I don’t really care about Yan Ze and Ya En. Ahem.)

I really like this episode! I think it has its fair share of plot, good acting and comic relief. As usual, I love the small, inconsequential dialogue between Zhi Lin and Mei Wen – they make everything so cute and funny! Although our couple has met with an obstacle this episode, I believe that it wouldn’t pose too much of a trouble, since the whole show has been sort of that pleasant Ferris Wheel ride you take instead of a roller coaster – cruising along with highs and lows instead of plunging the viewer constantly into fright and anticipation.

This episode should be titled ‘An Xi’s monologues’. Haha jokes aside (okay I’m not even kidding), I quite like certain parts of this episode!! I think the drama’s strongest point isn’t in the plot, since it can be quite slow and draggy sometimes, but I do think that they write nice dialogue most of the time, and they know how to capitalise on their leads’ chemistry.

Guest Post – [Mila’s Rambling Thoughts] Pre-2000 Dramas

Remember when I said that I have LOADS of new ideas in my mind post-relocation from Livejournal to WordPress? Well, this is one of them! The idea is to invite blog recappers/reviewers whom I have had some interaction with before to write an article on ANYTHING that is related to dramas. I thought it would be fun to have a mixture of thinking and writing from different people and I was right!

The first person that I have on board for this project is Mila from Milady’s Stuff. Our story starts off quite accidentally – I mistook her for another blogger for the longest time ever because they have similar names! Fret not, because we now have each other’s identities figured out. HAHA. Anyway, I’m really excited to kick start this project with a fantastic article from Mila, on pre-2000 dramas!

I Remember You Episode 16 Recap (Finale)

I don’t know if I was very tired when I watched this, but the ending was a little draggy for me. I can’t pinpoint which part of the episode could have been faster, because I admit that everything mentioned was important and relevant…but it just didn’t end with that tension which I’ve expected from an open ending, or that over the top crazy fangirl-feels expected from the romance.

That being said, I still like the finale very much. I love the idea of an open ending! Even if they don’t make Season 2 (I won’t even harbour hopes for that because Kdramas rarely make second seasons with the exact same cast), the storyline is apt for that sort of storytelling – every end brings with it a new set of questions, and new beginnings.

I Remember You Episode 12 Recap

I LOVE this episode! What’s there not to like – that wonderful kiss-on-the-forehead scene (I just mentioned two days ago on another recap that I love forehead kisses. Who’s with me!), the reunion, Hyun’s persistence to break down Min’s walls and that cliffhanger at the end.

I’ve not really teared from any recent dramas (I have a bad memory so I don’t know if you should trust me on that…) but this reunion was so bittersweet, I couldn’t help myself.

I’m not sure if you guys have noticed it, but I recently ‘upgraded’ Thoughtsramble – it’s now thoughtsramble.com ! Update your links if you have, but otherwise, typing thoughsramble.wordpress.com will automatically direct you to the new url anyway:D I’m going to implement small changes here and there as we go along, so I’m quite excited for that!

Also, I need your help because of that. I think changing my url makes it harder for Google to track my entries. Maybe it’s because it’s treated as an entirely new blog? I’m not too sure about the technicalities. But my posts from a week ago: https://thoughtsramble.com/2015/06/29/when-i-see-you-again-episode-5-recap/ and https://thoughtsramble.com/2015/06/25/warm-and-cozy-episode-13-recap/ still do not turn up on Google Search (which is really weird. Back in my old Livejournal days when I don’t get many viewers, I don’t think it took one week for them to list my posts on Google search. Also, my entries pre-thoughtsramble.com days are tracked rather fast.) If you know what’s wrong, or you have any advice to give, please comment below! Alternatively, you could help me by sharing the links – I think this helps the posts to be noticed by the trackers. This matters to me because I think there aren’t many blogs recapping When I See You Again and I thought it would be helpful if anyone needs the recaps! So the posts would be rendered rather useless if the viewers who need the recaps cannot find them.
