Happy!(:

I'm in a cloudy, dreamy mood right now and it makes me really happy. Updates as usual — Have jumped onto the Equator Man's ship last week, and wow, you guys are really awesome. I know that it's because I was fast in recapping and Dramabeans hasn't posted its recaps on it, hence the large flow of traffic, which means that I foresee a drop of numbers next week, because I don't think I can be here from Friday till Monday….but it still makes me happy to see comments, and no matter what the stats are, I write because I love it!(:

Next, I thinkkkk I will totally loveee it to be on the King2Hearts ship as well. Finally watched the existing episodes (but cheated with some recaps from Dramabeans), and they are amazing….like taking a ride on the rollar coaster. You never know when some mindless prank is going to turn into a gun war, or if a serious test is going to end up in cute bickering, before some gunshotthatjustcausesyourhearttojumptoyourmouth. But climbing onto both ships at the same time spells four recaps a week, and we all know that's quite impossible. Besides, there's a couple of Taiwan Dramas that I'm going to check out, so when all the checking out is done (hah, I feel like I'm choosing a boyfriend) I will tell you guys what my decision is(:

King2Hearts

I'm so amused at all the references — how the friends teased Hang Ah if she thought that she was Hwang Jin Yee, because…Ha Ji Won acted as Hwang Jin Yee before! And then when Hang Ah fangirled over all the celebrities in the military, I just knew it that a reference to Hyun Bin would come up, it will have totally topped the day if they start talking about Secret GardenXD

Equator Man Episode 4

Aha, I'm so not done fangirling here. I'm so excited to see Lee Joon Hyuk as the bad guy (he was sooo good in City Hunter; I loved him!) yet, sad at the same time…because I'm an ordinary girl who likes a good guy any time (I'm a second fiddle fan, remember?)

But this scene makes me really anticipate the development that is going to come our way:

(sorry he was moving too fast in panic and no screenshots that I've attempted were clear)

I'm so excited to see his acting; I think he will be able to carry out the different conflicts within Jang Il really well!

Then Seon Woo passed by Jang Il, who kind of heaved a relief…before Seon Woo grabbed him from behind, and Jang Il was in the most terrified, choked state I've ever seen.

Just saying, I thought that choked expression was really good. I hope I'm not being biased, am I, anyone?

Phew, I finally caught up! I can't say for sure that I will be recapping this, but there's a high chance, since I obviously really like Lee Joon Hyuk and this gives an 'advantage' over Rooftop Prince, of which its cast I don't feel anything towards. I've yet to check out King2Hearts, so we will see if it does steal my heart.

Go go go, Equator Man, I know you are up against strong rivals, but let's hope your ratings pick up soon!

Equator Man Episode 3 and 4

And so we transit from child to adult in Episode 4. More on that later.

Love, love this scene when Seon Woo jumped off the bridge and landed on the train, before a tear slid out from his eyes.

And while Seon Woo's basically throwing his life out there because of Jang Il, Jang Il was happily setting up a new life in Seoul. It was kinda cute to watch him 'confess' to Ji Won.

Aww, who wouldn't melt when you see a guy looking at you like that, tell me.

TWO GOOD LOOKING GUYS IN SUITS.

His face before hitting Seon Woo another time, rendering him fully unconscious.

And is it just me who find this scene a little creepy? How Jang Il starts rehearsing in front of the mirror what he should say when the police comes to find him? How he does that with a little hint of desperation mixed in with calm and calculation?

I like the portrayal of Jang Il — it's very interesting. He's not really an Evil Villain, no, that honourable title will surely go to the stupid Chairman…but he's not entirely good either. He's settled on a grey area, he did what he had done because of very intrinsic reasons but of which borders very closely like the Chairman's motives — determination to be successful and not let obstacles stand in their way. The scriptwriters could play on the sympathy a little, by making it appear like Jang Il did all that because he didn't want his father to implicated, but no, he did that because he didn't want his life to be ruined. It's like…he couldn't even fathom the idea of giving up his perfect life, of returning back to his poverty, and so this results in murdering his best friend. It does not evoke much sympathy but it does create a very acute sense of reality around this character.

Seon Woo certainly has stolen many hearts as Lee Hyun Woo rocks the character. He hits the emotions well, and carry out each nuance to the point. I'm biased I must confess — if Lee Joon Hyuk was Seon Woo, I would have lovedddd Seon Woo, but no, he's not, and this allows me to ironically, look at Seon Woo more objectively. He's very lovable, I'm sure that we all agree, but right now, he's kind of a foil for the development of Jang Il's character (for the worse?). He's kind, he's loyal, he's sincere, he's honest, he's basically Mr. Nice, someone I absolutely approve of, and I wouldn't mind watching another few episodes of him, but we got to move on, and now, it's time for Seon Woo to have some developments too (I thought the transition from child to actor was really smooth).

The Equator Man, King2hearts, Rooftop Prince

Well I was wrong in thinking that Moon That Embraces The Sun will send me into a kdrama slump. Turns out that there are three kdramas that I do want to check out right now — Equator Man, Rooftop Prince and King2Hearts. I'm on Episode 3 of Rooftop Prince, and just started on the Equator Man which looks really promising:

The very important man

who is really the guy that makes me even click on the show. It seems like Lee Joon Hyuk is going to take second place to Uhm Tae Woong, whose only shows I've watched was Delightful Girl Choon Hyang, and I'm not sure if I'm going to be happy about this. I mean, I like Lee Joon Hyuk.

Younger version of Jang Il, acted by Siwan. Kyaaa~. Younger version of Seon Woo (Lee Hyun Woo) is not too bad either((:

And aww, Jang Il got doused with water.

Not too certain how far I will carry on with this show. The first episode starts out with a scene that seems to be from the ending — Jang Il wanting to shoot the chairman and Seon Woo standing in his way, before we go back 15 years in time. There's something about starting with the ending that appeals to me, because I lovee to watch how things connect and develop till the introduction makes sense to me. But, it also means that the audience already knows what the climax is going to be, and if the rising action isn't good enough, then this isn't going anywhere at all.

I haven't started on King2hearts, and Love Rain looks tempting…except I must confess that I'm not a fan of Jang Guek Seok…I know, I know, I must be the only kdrama girl out there that haven't fallen under his spell yet, but don't ask me why, I simply have no idea.

By the way, if anyone is watching from good streaming websites, please do share! It's fine with me right now, but when I do start recapping, the quality of screencaps will totally drive me nuts.

FINALLY

A proper update, and a time for me to breathe. I haven't been properly updating since my last post which was on Pretty Little Liars' Finale Recap, and today, I've finally uploaded my Strawberry Night review, henceforth marking the end of my four-dramas'-recaps period. It has been the greatest number of dramas that I've chosen to take up, and while I've made decisions to drop an episode here or there, I'm glad that I've survived with each drama till the very end.

In case you haven't realised, yes, it has really been hectic. This is the first time I didn't update for more than a week, since I've started writing seriously on thoughtsramble. I had on average five hours of sleep which is kind of sucky, because I still have school. It was tiring and fun, but I'm ever so happy for a timely break.

I'm not very sure about my upcoming recap projects yet. There simply wasn't any time to watch anything, but I figured that Rooftop Prince seems like a good choice. The first two episodes were quite hilarious, but I haven't watched the latest ones yet. Still waiting for Love Rain (or is it out already? Yikes I AM indeed very lost in the dramaland) and a couple of kdramas and twdramas. If you are watching any that you are loving, please do leave a comment!(:

Lastly, I will just like to say a huge thank you to readers who keep coming back to check if I have updated thoughtsramble. I thought that numbers will drop greatly after Moon That Embraces The Sun, and lack of updates, but you guys are so surprising *touched*. Hehe.

I really can't wait for the next recapping project! For obvious reasons, I'm only going to take up one this time round, so I will choose a favourite one after I check out all the shows that are showing now.

SORRY(:

I'm left off with one episode of Strawberry Night to watch and recap, then I can officially end say that I've unlocked the achievement of recapping four series at one go! Looking at my busy days ahead though, I will have to say that this will not come soon, and I apologise for that. The past two days were crazy, having to deal with stuff that took my sleep away from me, but it was fun(: The next few days will be even crazier, and so thoughtsramble might be quite quiet.

But I look forward to filling this place up with thoughts and recaps again, so remember to keep visiting; I haven't ditched this place^^

I believe…I'm back into a Kdrama slump. I'm not sure if you guys remembered, but basically, I had been in a slump after I finished with City Hunter and even though I tried watching other kdramas, nothing seemed good at all. Until I got bored and decided to watch Moon That Embraces The Sun (yep, so I was on the boat since it first started, and not like after it got famous…so it's quite amazing to see how its popularity went from okay-ish to boom!) which then brought me out of my slump.

But I think I'm going back in. I don't know. Nothing that has been showing during the span of Moon That Embraces The Sun appeals to me, and while I remain open-minded to upcoming shows like Love Rain, King2Hearts and Fashion King, I feel a lack of excitement. I got Shut Up Flower Boy Band loaded already, so hopefully it's going to at least sate my drama urge for now.

<3thoughtsramble

Crunch.

Haha I'm only writing about this, because this place is primarily a place for my thoughts to ramble on…and so, my words are merely a process of my thoughts, and not necessarily a conclusion of my feelings.

For the past few months, I've been following more drama blogs. I didn't do that previously, because I didn't want someone else's writing style affects what I'm thinking and feeling, but lately most of the blogs I follow don't quite write on the same things as I do, and I realise that reading their sites won't quite bring any negative impacts. The thing is, the more I expand the zone of exploration, the more it hits me…that there are quite a few sites out there that are quite famous within a year of setting up. It didn't matter whether they are good or not (I'm not here to criticise) but I could see the amount of effort that has gone into the websites and I'm glad that they have grown so much.

But this leaves me thinking…(once again, I hear you groan), where do I stand exactly? Some sites jump by leaps within a few months, some have lesser readerships but have great number of comments. If I say that I've been working hard on thoughtsramble for two years* already and counting, and I'm probably not even half as known as those who have started a year ago, then what does this represent? It seems, let's put it childishly, a little unfair at first, because some of these people start out with 'connections', i.e they got famous elsewhere first, so their readers followed them to the new blog. But come on, you can't blame everything on the heavens for being unfair. There must be something that they are doing right and I'm doing wrong…or is it? Or is it that I just don't have enough luck and time? A genuine question there.

Of course, I give myself some slack. I'm probably one of the younger ones doing this and blah, but no matter what, the urge to compare is still there. Comments? Uncheck. People can go up to 100 comments on one post and I'm not even talking about dramabeans here. Readership? Okay, half-check (a pause in rant here, to say thank you to you guys<3). Do people actually know you?? Uncheck.

And then I hesitate about posting this, because I don't want to seem as if I'm whining and complaining like a pathetic three year old kid…because I'm not. I'm just feeling pensive and sad but this mood will pass, as most of you usual readers should know. Thoughtsramble gets into her mood, she posts, she thinks, she gets over it. No big deal, she hopes.

*Hahaha call me bipolar if you want, but I'm tickled at how I just found out that my blog wasn't two years old at all 0.0 My memory is horrendous!

Updates

Oh it has been one hectic week, what with the dramas coming to a close. The Moon That Embraces The Sun finally hits a closure, with whooping high ratings, and I'm so glad for that. Kim Soo Hyun is definitely on my celeb-radar list now, and I absolutely can't wait to watch his next acting project! Please let it be a drama, and not movies, we definitely need 20 episodes of you to be satisfied. Pretty Little Liars was sooo good in the last episode! Season finale's in a few days, and wowww, I'm so excited to know who A is!

Ending Planner has reached its last episode too, and all loose ends get tied up. The recap is in the making right now, so please wait patiently!(: I'm catching up on Strawberry Night at the same time too, and hur hur, am obviously waiting for any sweet Kikuta — Reiko moments. As if that's not enough, I've finished watching Dream High and I'm wondering if I should watch Dream High 2.

Once in a while, I get this spark of motivation to do something to my livejournal. I change the profile, the sticky note, the layout and so on. It's like a spring cleaning session, to clean out the old and improve for the better. This time round, I've decided to do something different, and that's setting up a shop. Yes, you've read it right. I was just playing around on the net, wondering what I can do and this option pops into my mind. It's a really small project right now, and I don't ever plan to make it big. Heck, I don't even think anything will get sold but it was fun coming up with the first three products of my shop. Heh heh, and so here, I bring you: http://www.cafepress.com/thoughtsramble

I will continue to come up with more designs and products, and leave them hanging in the shop, where hopefully, they will get new owners. I must confess that I don't know much details at all yet, so if you have any queries about the exchange rate, or how to purchase the products, I'm afraid I can't help you out here (I'm floundering in all the details too). Also, I've tried doing my research, but reviews about cafepress ranged from awful to wonderful. 0.0 Most of the complaints had to do with t-shirts, and so I'm sticking to the safe side here first. However, if you have any comments or feedback, like this sucks, just stick to blogging! or I'm not so sure about cafepress, please do leave those comments here and I will try to work on it!(:

update!

Hey guys:D

I miss doing my updates, so here they are!(:

If you guys follow closely, you might have already realised that I'm no longer doing full recaps of Pretty Little Liars, and I haven't done the last episode of Strawberry Night either. Coming to these decisions was really hard, and it weighed on my 'conscience' because having the freedom to write on whatever I want and like, teeters closely, to me, on the line of being irresponsible towards my readers who actually look forward or need those recaps. But I've still decided ultimately, that this is the best way for me(: I wouldn't want to reiterate on the same things again, and I've been following closely what I promise myself a few months ago: http://thoughtsramble.livejournal.com/81357.html   so here it is, if you want to understand better the rationale behind this.

I'm watching Dream High on the side too!((: I couldn't resist the urge to watch Kim Soo Hyun in the end, and succumbed to it…but I'm still remaining on neutral grounds towards this show. Yes, I love watching how cute Sam Dong is, but I don't know if I will come to love it as many of the people I know do. It might have gotten something to do with how I feel really torn towards the show, especially towards the two male leads. You should know well enough, that I fall in love with most second leads thrown in my way, and I know that Sam Dong gets the girl in the end. This works strange things to my brain because now I see Jin Gook in a both main and second lead way. 0.0 which is rather mind-boggling.

Also, I've heard that Hye Mi keeps taking Sam Dong for granted in this show, and that I don't like and cannot take. (Recall last few episodes of You Are Beautiful where I basically read recaps and put everything on fast forward) But we shall see((:

I was going into an apology that starts somewhat like, "I regret to inform you that…." (haha no, I'm kidding) because I wouldn't be able to write The Moon That Embraces The Sun's recaps this week on time, but wow, I just went to dangermousie's lj, and apparently the last two episodes aren't showing this week?

Right, and I have a backlog of comments to reply to. I'm so sorry!! I swear I will get to them soon; this week has been really hectic.
