Gloomy Salad Days Episode 9 and 10 recaps
Hello guys! Still feeling unwell…. so I apologise for the late update!^^
Hello guys! Still feeling unwell…. so I apologise for the late update!^^
Hello! Just wanna drop by to say that I’ve created a Tumblr page!^^ You guys can ask me anything on that page (if you want to!) and I will answer them. I’ll be reblogging things that are most probably related to my livejournal etc, and if you guys are fellow thoughtsramble readers, then do follow me!^^ Ah, I almost forgot to tell you guys the url. Oh well, it isn’t that hard to figure it out^^ thoughtsramble.tumblr.com(: See ya there! <3thoughtsramble
Woots! Okay these recaps have definitely many more screenshots. Why? Because there is more Aaron screentime (YAY!) and this obviously equates to having many more screenshots of him whenever he appears. The day has finally come (wipes tears off my cheek) when I finally waited till Aaron appeared from 10seconds per episode, to 2minutes per second, to finally 10 minutes per episode. Thank you thank you.
It just occurred to me that I seem to have totally given up on Love Buffet recaps:O I think I will complete them one day, but not any time soon then! Friends, do help me to spread this livejournal around (lol sounds like jam)! If you see any problems with my recaps/whatever, please feel free to comment so that I can improve(: I have no idea what’s wrong though… is it because I’ve been recapping Taiwanese Dramas recently, and Kdramas are more popular? <3thoughtsramble
Hi there!! Finally got down to writing the review for these 3 episodes, but pardon me if I don’t sound coherent, because I’m burning a high feverD: Okay, so this drama is broken up into many short stories, and basically each short story spans around 2 episodes, with the second episode showing how the stone gets found by the next short story’s leads. In this episode, Xiao Lin (the main character of the story) talks to Du, the messenger/Death, depends on how you look at it, but no one else can see Du. A few girls think that she has gone crazy, but Shen Qi, who doesn’t need a stone to see Du, stands there in shock seeing Xiao Lin talking to Du. I totally just squealed when I saw this. I mean, come on, you only get to see like 10 seconds of Aaron Yan each episode; you’ve gotta appreciate each scene!^^ Shen Qi runs up and basically tells Xiao Lin not to talk to Du anymore, because she might turn into a stone. …
I really hate it… when I’m sick!! I’m sorry guys! I was going to update today about Gloomy Salad Days, but I fell really ill… zzzz. So I’m just dropping by to tell you guys that I will continue updating of course, very soon!:D <3thoughtsramble
Yay! So I’ve finally decided that I shall watch Gloomy Salad Days for Aaron Yan. First impression? This is a drama that’s really not bad. Not bad at all! Okay, however, it’s really down and depressing, so if you’re those who seek a fun rom-com, this is totally not it. According to Wikipedia, these are all true real life social cases, and I admit, it does get me a little down to know that there’re so many thoughts of death in teens. I mean, in a drama where it revolves around Death, just how un-gloomy can it get right? I think that the first 3 episodes have made a very good impression on me, because they found actors and actresses that can act, and who can convey the idea of hopelessness, desperation and grief quite well. They are so good, that it almost (stress:almost) didn’t matter that I probably only caught like one minute of Aaron Yan in total in these three episodes. First scene of Aaron Yan: my favourite screenshot, for some reason:P In …
Hello everyone! Okay this is just a really informal post… to talk about how I’m so glad that you guys are here to read thoughtsramble. It sounds cliche, but my wish of doing this properly wouldn’t have been possible if not for you guys. I remember asking for your help months ago, to help spread the existence of this livejournal to anyone you think might like/love it, and some of you did, which I’m really thankful for. For those readers who discovered this livejournal super early, you might recall about how I said that my readership has dropped after Playful Kiss, which is okay since I’ve anticipated that coming. Ah, this isn’t a post to talk about readership… not really:P It’s just a hope that more people will help to spread this around. In the earlier stages of this livejournal’s existence, I ever considered dropping this because there’re just too few people for me to go on ( but I didn’t drop it in the end because I figured I will write even for that …
I’ve just watched this movie!^^ It’s a 2002 film with Audrey Tautau. I must admit that knowing what has already happened (thank Wikipedia for this) has both its pros and cons. The bad thing is, I already knew what will happen, hence no surprise there, and that Angelique(Audrey Tautau) has been imagining things. The good thing is, it has allowed me to guess what the other points of views are, while watching Angelique’s point of view of the story. It’s also interesting to note how a certain observation that gives you a certain idea of what has happened, can actually be attributed to a totally different reason. I didn’t take too much notice of the actors’ acting, because I was more focused on trying to understand the french words spoken, and trying to ignore the english subtitles. Ah, trying being the key word:P However, I think that this movie is really interesting and it’s just so…. frenchy! In a good way I guess. French movies, as I’ve mentioned before, seem to have their …
Right, so I said that I was going to watch a drama with Aaron Yan as the lead (should have no second-lead induced sadness then) and I couldn’t decide between MIT and Gloomy Salad Days! I’ve heard that Aaron Yan and Guigui have the best chemistry ever but I find it hard to like (granted, I haven’t watched the show yet) because the first show I’ve watched Aaron Yan in is Love Buffet, and naturally I would pair him up with the actress in Love Buffet… so I don’t know if I’ll enjoy watching GuiLun(that’s how they call it!^^) in MIT! Haha! Maybe I’ll start out with Gloomy Salad Days first(: <3thoughtsramble
I would really have to say that Fahrenheit’s appearance on Jacky Wu’s variety show where they have to find items that are suspicious is just simply hilarious. Aaron Yan’s so smart! Gotta love the four of them(: Haha fret not, this space is not going to turn into a fangirling platform for Fahrenheit… I’m just expressing my new findings lol! <3thoughtsramble
Good looking right?!! Hee heee:P Can’t resist but screenshot haha!
Yay! Okay I declare myself an addict to two of Fahrenheit’s songs in Love Buffet! It’s like Love Buffet will never make it to my favourite dramas simply because… Ah Yi didn’t get the girl:P but I really like their two songs inside the show. I’m so addicted to the two songs, they are all that I’m listening to these few days. One of them is called Mistake and it puts me in a really sad mood whenever I listen to it. The other is probably called Guardian Star if you translate directly from its Chinese title, and it puts me in such a good, bouncy mood!^^ My friend calls me bipolar. Haha! I find that I have a better view of Fahrenheit now(: I never hated them; I just thought they were eye candy…. they may still be eye candy right now, but after watching several videos of them going onto variety shows and such, I think they’re really funny, cute, nice and talented in certain areas that I (and I’m pretty sure many …
Sigh. It feels heartbreaking to be recapping these episodes now, since I already know the ending.. sigh:/
Okay I’ve just finished watching the last episode of Love Buffet… and meh!!!! -spoilers ahead- WHYYYYYY okay Xiao Feng decides to go with Da Ye after all, even though Ah Yi tells her that he will like her forever. Even till the end, Ah Yi still likes her, but Xiao Feng truly likes Da Ye… I can’t decide if I like Aaron Yan more or Ah Yi more haha! Somehow I feel that I do see a little of Aaron in Ah Yi ( as in the same kind of aura?) not sure… but anyway, feeling rather:/ about the ending now! It’s like Ah Yi just wishes Xiao Feng to be happy… then what about himself? I wouldn’t mind it so much if he ends up with someone else, but he tells Da Ye that he will treasure the drawing that Xiao Feng drew, meaning…he will still continue to like Xiao Feng… Sigh. Sometimes I wish I weren’t suckers for second leads, then I wouldn’t feel sad so many times. Hrumph. <3thoughtsramble
I can’t believe it. So Episode 13 IS the last episode?! <3thoughtsramble
Right now, I’m feeling dilemma-ish (again) on recaps. On one hand, I want to share nice and sweet dramas with my readers in hope that they will watch and support the drama/get feedback. However, on the other hand, I’m very aware that people read recaps and then even if they still watch the drama, it wouldn’t feel as good as you watch it first hand. Hmm..
Haha recaps are getting longer and longer with sharp increase in number of screenshots!:O Xiao Feng sprains her ankle, and Ah Yi runs over. She’s obviously in much pain, but the first thing that Ah Yi says is — "Idiot." Xiao Feng says that she’s already in much pain, yet he still scolds her that. In his own way of caring, Ah Yi piggybacks her in front of everyone and brings her back to the hostel, with everyone staring with a combination of shock, surprise, (jealousy?:P) and speculation.
Wow! I never thought I would need to use an lj cut for recaps on Love Buffet haha!:P Xiao Feng gorges on food and her friends tell her "You’ve been thinking about your own feelings, but have you thought about Da Ye’s feelings?" and that they have discovered something. Xiao Feng sits by her window and looks up, wondering why the light is not on in Da Ye’s room. Suddenly, someone says, "What are you spying on?" Shocked, Xiao Feng jerks backwards and Ah Yi catches her.
Haha I’m still on Love Buffet… don’t know if you guys still remember, but I mentioned quite a few entries ago that my mum bought Summer’s Desire to watch…. so as expected, I’m currently watching episode 2 with her! It seems quite nice so far.. but I don’t think I’ll be doing any recaps for that because it’ll be very hard to get screenshots… do expect a few comments here and there(: Have you guys watched Summer’s Desire already? I really, really like the books! <3thoughtsramble
Yay(: More Da Ye screenshots this time round!:D So Da Ye leans on Xiao Feng’s shoulder for one minute, and after that, he’s okay. Da Ye accidentally sees the photo that Xiao Feng has kept ( the one with them in the background) but he only sees Ah Ji ( the guy in the front), hence he concludes that Xiao Feng likes Ah Ji. He tells Xiao Feng that he will help her, even though her taste is a little weird. This is how Xiao Feng finds herself having a conversation with Ah Ji. Ah Ji keeps on stuttering, while Xiao Feng feels really trapped because the one that she likes is Da Ye, not Ah Ji! Da Ye pretends that he has something on, and leaves. After that, Xiao Feng leaves, with Ah Ji hot on her heels. Xiao Feng starts to ‘cry’ because she doesn’t know what she should do, and Ah Ji doesn’t know what to do with her. Ah Yi sees the scene from on top. Xiao Feng buys a drink …
I hate spams, go away spams. Shoo~~ <3thoughtsramble
Continuing on….(: Xiao Feng needs some tennis shoes, and she invites Da Ye to help give her advice because she secretly wants a date with him. However, the ignorant-of-her-feelings Da Ye says that he has not much experience with female tennis shoes, so he in turn invites Qiu Ying to come along with them. Xiao Feng gets super excited even though her spirits were a little dampened by the fact that Qiu Ying is tagging along as well. Her friends advice her to dress up well so that she will appear like she cares about this ‘date’. Oh she dresses up so ‘well’, that it kinda makes Da Ye and Qiu Ying feel really weird about her dress combi ( a hat, with boots, leopard prints pants, sundress… everything(: ) Qiu Ying says that she wants to go to an art exhibition, and Da Ye says it’s okay to go there before they buy tennis shoes first. While on the scene, Xiao Feng is a little bored, and she suddenly needs to go to the …
I just realise something — I’m extremely biased in my Love Buffet 2nd Episode recap! There’s not a single screenshot of Calvin anywhere. Gosh gomenasai ne! However, I will just like to explain. I’m getting increasingly busy nowadays, but I will still like to share whatever stuff I’m watching with you guys, so in that case, I can only take a limited number of screenshots…. and when I obviously look out for more Ah Yi scenes than Da Ye scenes, the ratio of those screenshots will not be balanced. I hope you guys can understand, and if you are Calvin fans, I can assure you that I don’t dislike him — I just don’t really like Da Ye. Heh. <3thoughtsramble
Woots!:DD Xiao Feng admits to her friends that she might be crushing on Da Ye, and her friends tease her about it, while encouraging her on. Brimming with love, she feels like she can fly, and even those kids that she is playing with get so tired after playing games with her. She happily tells them that it’s because of love, when Ah Yi appears and tells her not to teach stupid things to kids because they will become stupid as well. Xiao Feng informs him that she doesn’t have the words "give up" and "fear" in her dictionary. "If there’s going to be fear, why have a relationship?" Ah Yi ponders for a while, then smiles. He asks, "You never have a relationship before do you?" Xiao Feng hrumph him, doesn’t answer and bring the kids to somewhere else to play. Ah Yi smiles again behind her back, but after they walk away, his face sorta falls. In his bed that night, he thinks about his ex girlfriend again. Xiao Feng dresses up the …
but it seems that I’m hooked on Love Buffet! I really have no idea why… There’s nothing that should pull me in, seeing that most of them can’t act, the storyline is very typical manga-ish, and I know that the girl is going to piss me off pretty soon with her fickle mindedness. Thus, I conclude that it’s due to Aaron’s presence! I really like his character right from the first episode, and that made me wonder if my Second Lead Instinct is really that awesome. I thought he was the lead at first, and I was still wondering why I would like the lead so fast, when I realise while reading some other people’s comments that nooooo he’s not the lead, he’s the second lead. Argh! To think that I used to sympathise with Calvin for being always stuck with second lead roles whenever he appears in a drama with another Fahrenheit member. I wish I could pull back in all that sympathy now. It’s not that I have something against him, no, not …
or the 1st episode recap(: Yep! I’ve currently moved on to this Taiwanese Drama, and am very pleased to find out that it’s about university students, until I read the Dramawiki synopsis and I was like 0.0 Apparently, Xiao Feng falls in love with Da Ye, gets hurt by him, falls in love with Ah Yi, gets hurt by him, then crawl back to Da Ye….. WHAT?! I’m sorry hahaha, my reaction is entirely due to the fact that I do not like female characters with no backbone and no dignity. ARGH. Okay, but to be fair, first episode was pretty nice and sweet. We are introduced to the two main male leads of the story — Da Ye (the one above) and Yi Cheng ( the one below). They were sent by their grandfather to return to Taiwan to study and their grandfather has also settled their accommodations, which happens to be next to Xiao Feng’s house, the female lead. One day, someone finds a stray dog and Xiao Feng falls in love with …
Gosh what can I say? J’adore le film<3 (Well, it doesn’t take anyone who learns French to understand that sentence!) It was a really good watch and I think that it indeeds earns the reputation that it has now. Basically, it’s about a teacher, Mathieu, who thinks that he has failed in every aspect of life and he finds a job at a boarding school that is meant for troubled children. During his first few days there, he witnesses the harsh and brutal discipline carried out by the headmaster, Rachin. Mathieu uses his own ways, love and humour to keep discipline within the boys and even forms a choir out of them. However, Rachin just has to constantly spoil the picture by disapproving what Mathieu has done, or to steal his credit. As the days go by, the boys fall deeper and deeper in love with singing and they become more obedient as well. The overaching plot for this film is simple enough, but it succeeded by its portrayal of love. It is …
YAY! I’ve managed to borrow it! I hope that I can finish watching it before it is due though:/ Excitedddddddd. I even borrowed He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not!:D <3thoughtsramble
