Bloody Monday 2 Episode 1 Recap

I'm so in love with the song Zanzou.

Anyway, here's the recap of the first episode!(: Recapping of Bloody Monday 2 will be taken at a leisurely pace…because 1. It's totally too depressing to recap 3 episodes of deaths, hacking, betrayals and what not at the same time 2. I believe there's not an urgent demand for it. Besides, I really like this season 2 as well, so I don't wanna rush any thing and take it slow and easy.

RECAP HERE(:

Kimi Ni Todoke Movie Review and Recap

Whoo! I've been wanting to do this for a long time, so here's thoughts put into actions!(: This is going to come in two parts — mainly a review and a recap-kinda-thing. The recap will be placed under the cut, so that no spoilers will be revealed, unless you click on it yourself, then I have nothing to say._. As for the review, it's there to share my thoughts and hopefully motivate some of you to watch it!(:

So here's the review first:

Kimi Ni Todoke is based on the manga where you have a girl called Sawako with long, straight black hair. She had the misfortune of getting stuck with the name Sadako (from the Ring) thanks to her hair and also because she always greeted everyone with a scary face. She met a boy called Kazehaya and admired him, because he was popular…but he was popular because he was honestly nice to everyone, and really sincere.

I didn't read the manga and watch the anime, so I purely stumbled across this show and thought it'd be interesting. Hence, while many people compared it to the manga and anime, and felt that the movie was a let down, I really like it. Both Haruma Miura and Mikako Tabe fitted the castings so well. For Haruma Miura, he really appeared like an almost anime character as Shota Kazehaya. As for Mikako Tabe, I love how her scary face and her smiling face had such a huge contrast! Other castings that I felt was really good was the actresses for Chizu and Ayane.

I did watch bits and pieces of the anime after that, but I could already tell that I prefer the movie over the anime. I tend to judge a show on how realistic the outcome is. For the anime, I didn't like how Sawako made friends so quickly and that she looked pretty cute even when she was angry. It's not wrong of course, but it just made the story a tad unrealistic that it wasn't so special any more. [Though I sorely miss the presence of Maru in the movie:P He was so cute in the anime!]

I read some comments that they couldn't 'feel' the characters in the movie, but I didn't have any problems with that. Haruma Miura and Mikako Tabe made the story feel as realistic as possible, and for that, I like their portrayal of the basis of the plot, which didn't just focus on romance but also friendship and support.

So what's my verdict? If you haven't seen both the anime and manga, go for the movie. I'm almost sure you will like it(: If you have seen the manga and/or the anime… I don't know, I will still encourage you to watch the movie. Even if you didn't like it in the end, I'm also almost sure you will be bought over by Haruma Miura πŸ˜›

Whoo, okay here we go — a recap kinda thing. Which means that it's not going to be a true recap, because I'm just going to have simple captions etc.

Recap here!(:

Sigh

Haruma Miura's a pretty decent actor.

Yes, I've finished watching Bloody Monday 2! Mixed thoughts about it… still wavering between recaps and reviews but either way, I THINK I will be doing on this show! Sighh it's quite a depressing show if you think about it. Now, as long as a character has his back turned for too long, my heart starts thumping, thinking that he's going to get shot (because uh, you can't blame me. 9 out of 10 of them do get shot).

Also, entertaining thoughts of starting Taisetsu na Koto wa Subete Kimi ga Oshiete Kureta (arghh painful) just for the sake of watching Haruma Miura. I started because I like Toda Erika and I had not much feelings about Haruma Miura, but now…since I like both main leads….yet, the plot totally lost me at episode 5. I have no idea why, the show had a pretty decent rating, which probably meant that it's either 1. Most got lost too but hung on for Toda Erika and Haruma Miura or 2. I'm the only who got lost lol.

Oh wow

This is the first time I think that I have missed such a link… I knew that Kichise Michiko (Maya in Bloody Monday) acted in Liar Game as well, that much is obvious…

But I've never linked her face to… Elize from Nodame Cantabile!!! -full shock- I mean, the characters are so different and what with her blond hair…

I'm still shocked lol. I'm usually quite fast at picking out this kind of things.

Bloody Monday 2

Short post: Is anyone interested enough for me to do Bloody Monday 2 Recaps? I'm currently loving this show and have many thoughts to share (both good and bad thoughts….in short, many comparisons between season 1 and season 2). Thinking between reviews and recaps. Reviews allow me to post my thoughts and still share, whereas recaps can cover the plot more extensively, though it will be spoiler-heavy.

We shall see. In case I didn't carry this through, I will just like to say that I prefer season 1 over season 2. Season 2 has lost a little of that feel from Season 1, probably because it deviated from the manga (I hope I'm not wrong in saying that?) and it changed many endings. However, I will still label Season 2 as 'awesome' probably because I'm biased from Season 1 heh heh. So I'm willing to give season 2 many chances (I started Season 2 immediately upon finishing Season 1)

Besides, hahaha I'm so glad to see J again. His character is so alluring in Bloody MondayXD I know whatever, he's the bad guy and the terrorist.

Fujimaru's really cool too. Looking at him puts my typing speed to shame.

Busy!

Just dropping by to tell you guys that I haven't dropped off the edge of the world. Haha! It's because I'm really hard up for time —  I need to carry on with all my drama, anime and movie watching while at the same time, juggling my other commitments, so this leaves no time space for doing recaps/reviews. But don't worry! I might get a breather soon, so do look forward to that, because then you will face an onslaught of reviews and recaps(:

In case you've missed out, Junpei Mizobata is my current favourite. But just a few days ago, I found another guy that is likeable — Haruma Miura!(: I've already watched one of his dramas before, the one with Toda Erika, but honestly that one wasn't very good in my opinion (and gosh I only realise it after looking up his profile, they added many years to his character in that show, didn't they?) so it didn't register…but I watched Kimi ni Todoke the movie the other day and it was so sweet!(: Haruma Miura really fits the role of an anime character, and so now, I'm watching Bloody Monday (which is pretty awesome so far<3) I've always heard raving reviews about it, but it just didn't occur to me to watch it.

So yep please be patient and understanding with me, and I promise I will be back soon!(:

Ending Song (Meitantei Conan Season 1)

In love with this song right now<3 For those who were trying to search, here's the ending song!

Do you mean to tell me that no one here watches Meitantei Conan?? Or at least know the song?(: It's a song that has quite a special melody and really meaningful lyrics! It fits the ending of each episode of Conan so, so well.

And here's one more thing you should know about me (those who are long-time readers know already:P) I'm a big critic/fan of soundtracks. Music is really important to me, and it can actually make or break a drama! Well, maybe not break it…but the best dramas should have a really good OST that has tracks which match just the right way to the different moods in a drama. I'm super critical of that! And instrumentals are just my love<3 Another ending song that I really like is Suddenly by Kim Bo Kyung for City Hunter!(:

It's such a beautiful song :')

Lists!

Sorry for the spamming, but I realise that there's only 2 months left to 2011 (sad) so it will soon be time for me to draw up yet another drama recommendations' list! Honestly, I can't wait to write it, it will be great fun…but I wonder if I should just draw up a 2011 list, or all-the-dramas-that-I've-ever-watched list because then wow I'm sure I will miss out something.

In Time With You

Omygosh I just finished the episode and I can't wait for the next one!!!! Please, please, please let there be good good good marvellous developments in their relationship. IT'S THE EIGHTH EPISODE DUDE AND YOU ONLY HAVE THIRTEEN TO GO THROUGH

Heart's totally aching for Da Ren now. Poor guy. I wish You Qing was determined to carry through with all that "Oh I'm not going to go back to him, I'm not going to be a withered flower, I'm not going to have discounted relationship" because the minute she saw Ding Li Wei (lol realise that I still address Ding Li Wei with surname and all), oh wow is that You Qing's resolve flying out of the window??

What’s up

I don't know if you are waiting for my recaps In Time With You, but if you are, I apologise for it being so late!! The reason being… I got myself utterly hooked on the Meitantei Conan starring Mizobata Junpei. I think I mentioned in an earlier recap that mystery and crime is totally, totally my cup of tea, and so I couldn't help myself………. ending up clicking the link for the next episode, and the next and then next, and yes you get the picture(:

Just finished the series today! After which I got wind of a movie that Mizobata Junpei acted in this year, and I finished watching it today as well. I know -hang head in shame-, I've only gone through 2/6 of In Time With You, but I will get it out…. soon!(:

Of course, I've no idea if I want to recap Meitantei Conan or review it, because there are after all 13 episodes to recap, and I'm a lazy one who doesn't usually recap what I've blazed through in a matter of a few days…but this is quite an awesome drama (which is saying something, because uhm I don't really like Conan. Prefer Kindaichi anyday)! Besides, I must say that I'm feeling rather biased towards Mizobata Junpei haha! Seriously, there's a heavy overload of him for the past few days. We will see how! I will most probably do a review of the movie that he acted in, so do look out for that!(:

The One And Only

I totally didn't know that this was coming. Was it just me that was out of the loop, or was there not enough hype about it?

Anyway, here's Lee Min Ho acting in a really short 4-part kind of drama, which acts more like a CF with Toyota Camry.

Sounds of ragged breathing and snatches of the hospital intersperse, while we see Lee Min Ho being operated on. He had this blurred vision of himself running away from somebody but a car soon caught up with him.

Isn't that just reminiscent of City Hunter? (referring to outfit and style)

He turned his head around, to find another Lee Min Ho looking down at him.

This was all just a nightmare/memory as Lee Min Ho woke up in a shock. Doctor informed him that he had been in a coma for a month, and that a witness who drove him to the hospital said that he'd been assaulted. Lee Min Ho could not remember his name

and Doctor passed him his phone, with all his contacts wiped out. I'm sorry, I can't help but keep looking out for Yoon Sung here!

He requested to see his car (A Toyota Camry of course!) and the two of them sat in it. Lee Min Ho turned on the radio (on this cool touch screen) and the music brought wisps of memories of him and a woman laughing on the beach.

This is no Park Min Young right?D:

He then found out that his last search on the directory was a jewellery shop, which brought another memory of him saying, "I love you" to the woman, who replied, "I love you too."

This caused him to recall his name, "Joon! My name is Joon." Doctor praised him for tremendous speed at recovering his memory, to which the moment was somewhat spoilt with the sudden product recommendation by Joon, "I'm not the amazing one, Camry is the one." Joon decided to drive towards this jewellery store and Doctor wished him luck. Joon's second product recommendation, "With my Camry, I can get there in one hour."

Scene ends with Joon driving towards the city with a red, sleek car, looking uhm every bit like Yoon Sung.

-the end-

Hahaha… the product placement thing is just so awkward! I"m not complaining because seriously, who will complain about getting to see more of Lee Min Ho, right? Thus I guess the script's gotta do its job like product placement, and sneaking in (not so subtly) praises of the aforementioned product.

I honestly wish Lee Min Ho the best of luck in choosing his future drama project. It's obvious from this short clip that the producers know what the audience still has in mind — Yoon Sung. City Hunter. It will be hard for Lee Min Ho ( see, I almost typed Yoon Sung there!) to get rid of this image simply because he had left such a deep impression on everyone! Yet in a way, I don't really want to bid Yoon Sung goodbye. I want to see more! More Yoon Sung&Nana or Lee Min Ho&Park Min Young please.

In case you are wondering, this first clip takes a grand total of five minutes.

So….

So… I'm watching Man of Honour/ Man of Honour Glory Jane right now…. and slow as you know I am, it took me two episodes to fully hit me why Park Min Young looks different.

…. I'm sorry! I think it was because she had her hair up for most of episode 2, so it didn't really register.

SO, which one do you prefer?

Long-hair pretty Nana (by the way, I totally fangirl over her hair in my City Hunter Recaps)

Or the cute, short hair Jae In?

I've always admired celebrities who can carry off both the long hair and short hair styles because honestly, how many of us can do that? Some 'predecessors' will be Rainie Yang and Park Shin Hye, but I will say that Park Min Young looks really good in both hairstyles.

Except… I don't know…. I mean, Nana totally took me in with her 'hair falling softly around her shoulders' thing, and while Jae In looks really cute&youthful…I might have to stick with Nana as my bias as of now.

And since we are at it, how about a screenshot?:P

One of my favourite scenes everrrrrr.

<3thoughtsramble

Boo.

Layout’s been changed for a reason; it’s only temporary but do tell me if you don’t like this new layout! Kinda attached to the old one so it feels weird looking at all the flowers and green right now.

Another thing: Please tell me. That Jae In isn’t going to think that the guy is her brother or something. Please no, that will just be :///. (Talking about Man of Honour)

<3thoughtsramble

Tired

Hahah really busy this week again.

Remembered distinctly that I wanted to watch some dramas but I forgot which ones. It was either my memory failed me, or that I've watched the first episode and it puts me off already with the slow-moving plot. I tried the first episode of Man Of Honour, well it does seem interesting, but the first episode's all about the young kids' story, so the interesting parts will only come later I guess.

Here, a wide-eyed eager Park Min Young.

SPAMS:

Is it just me, or are the spams getting worse and worse?:O

I’m getting such a wide range of spams, it’s kinda amusing in a dry way to read what they offer.

No, I’d rather they disappear right now. I rather hope they are unscreened by Livejournal! Not too sure that I deleted every single one of them manually.

In Time With You Episode 5 Recap

I don't know who to blame — Da Ren for his passing, casual comment that "There's no way that I will fall in love with you" or You Qing for remembering it for the past 14 years. Probably, it's neither's fault. It's just one of those….. unfortunate things.

It's just that it's irritating how they obviously made for each other, but both are avoiding that trap of Love. As You Qing once mentioned, "To have, is the start of losing it." Friends, might be more long lasting than lovers.

Episode Recap here!(:

Ouran High School Host Club, a whirl through Episode 1 to 5

I've blazed through this drama in a whirlwind, but I shall slowly revisit this drama (only a day after finishing with it), to provide recaps!:D

Now as I've mentioned before, but just for the sake of those who are not familiar with my way of recapping, I usually provide simple recaps with more emphasis on commentary for the first few episodes. That's because I don't want to waste time recapping a series that I've no interest in, and we all know the first few episodes usually are the ones that build your love for the show, or kill it.

So here, having only read a volume of Ouran High School Host Club's manga, I dived into the show….to be pleasantly surprised!

A Whirl of Cuteness(:

The List Goes On

5. Both are open about their sex life with the other friend.
6. As quoted by You Qing herself "What a coincidence! It seems like whenever I'm having a relationship, you are single but when I'm nursing my wounds, you are in a relationship." Exactly, that's the problem between the male and female lead in Thirty Nothing too!

And while Chen Bo Lin is the male lead of the show, as you know, I tend to take more notice of the second fiddles a.k.a the nice guy up there. Chen Bo Lin's character is really nice and all, but Nic (nice guy up there) is ahhhhhh. So Squeal-able.

<3thoughtsramble

It’s hard to believe

that the similarities between In Time With You and Thirty Nothing are just pure coincidences!:O

1. Both like to jibe each other about being the first to win the bet.
2. Both start to indulge in new relationships.
3.One party had rejected another party when they were younger. (in the case of Thirty Nothing, it was the girl who rejected the guy.)
4. They treat each other (or is it so?:P) as best friends for lifeeeeee.

Hmm. That's interesting.
