Just asking!

Hey guys! I’m thinking of putting any present and future Playful Kiss Recaps under the lj cut just so it’s easier to navigate around on the webpage:D This is because I find that my recaps are quite long, and it is actually very tedious to scroll about so, be sure to always click on that link and not be lazy!:DD Thank you!^^

AHHH

I’m going to try fiddling with the layout of livejournal; I hope I don’t screw anything up:S I’m a noob at tweaking IT stuffD: [edit] For the time being, I’ve decided not to touch the basic layout of this livejournal because I’m very sure something will blow up if I touch the custom stylesheet or something lol>< I’ve changed some texts and found the very wonderful ‘sticky post’!:D As for the rest, they shall remain the same; I realise this is one of my most favourite layout! For the tags though, do you think I should put in ‘clouds’ a.k.a like how it is now, or put it as a list? [double edit] I’ve decided to try out the ‘list’ layout for a while first. It looks more organised:D Also, I will be doing a review on Lovely Complex and La Corda D’Oro the next few days! Playful Kiss might take the form of reviews as well because instead of ‘ I’m going to have my exams soon’, it’s ‘ I’m having my exams now’. GAH. I really hate exams. …

Did you know that Playful Kiss/ Itazura No Kiss that were based on manga were actually also based on the true experiences of the person who drew the manga? I mean that’s so sweet! and cool kinda, because I always thought that dramas don’t come true in real life… though it’s quite sad that she died so young.D: To this date, the manga has an unfinished ending… <3thoughtsramble    – I don’t know if I should give up doing these reviews… it’s like I feel I’m bad in this and I’m not getting      readers…I guess I will see how first.. I always told myself that I will write because I love it and not       because I want people to notice this.. but even this gets kinda hard after a  while, though some have          told me that I haven’t written for very long anyway… gahhhh-      For every sixty seconds spent being upset is a minute of happiness lost

PLAYFUL KISS EPISODE 6 RECAP

YAY just to inform you guys, I’m going to start "cleaning up" my livejournal and putting entries that I think not many people will read under lj cuts. This is because I insist of having ALL my entries on one page, and I’m not sure if readers will have a hard time loading every single thing. SO yep! Also, on a spur of the moment, I’ve decided to start ending off my entries with certain quotes and stuff, so look out for them! All right, here’s the screenshots I took πŸ˜› I feel like a total pervert — wait, pause, enlarge screen, screenshot, esc large screen, paste, save     AHHH I love the second last screenshot<333 I have friends who told me that they are dying from jealousy hahaha. ARE YOU DYING FROM JEALOUSY AS WELL? A small recap here for episode 6: Seung Jo didn’t sit for his interview and Ha Ni was dying from guilt. She decided to leave his house because she realised how much trouble she had brought him. Seung Jo found her with her suitcase but didn’t attempt …

Playful Kiss Episode 6

I AM WATCHING EPISODE 6 OF PLAYFUL KISS NOW:DDD They kissed they kissed!!!! dang it, anyway I’ve heard and seen other sites saying that episode 5 of Playful Kiss only took in 3% for episode ratings… I haven’t found the ratings for episode 6 yet, but I don’t think they will be good either..D: I guess the only thing now is to wait for next week’s episodes to come out, and see if the ratings will go above 4%? I just don’t get it, why are the ratings so low? I’ve seen shows with worse acting and lousier plots with better ratings, so it can’t be that right? I’ll be waiting for Episode 7 and 8 to come out next week and you bet I will be stuck to the computer screen watching it right away. If only I can understand Korean. Right, I’m getting back to the episode, things are getting interesting!

Playful Kiss Episode 5

Yes. I’ve finally watched it!! kya~~~ Obviously Seung Jo didn’t do anything to Ha Ni when he pushed her down on to the bed; it was just teasing on his part, but it got Eun Jo pretty worried through out the whole episode. I think  he kinda suspects that Seung Jo is slowly, but surely falling in love with Ha Ni! The highlights of this episode includes knowing the results of Seung Jo’s written examination, the scene where he showed off in front of Ha Ni, and right at the end, where Ha Ni got knocked down by a car. He admitted Ha Ni to the hospital and left to take his entrance interview for a prestigious university, but turned up again later at her ward, surprising everyone. It is my guess that he didn’t go for his examination after all, because someone told me that he got into the same university as Ha Ni which wasn’t good at all. I realise something — Kim Hyun Joong can’t act very well for some scenes! Like, in my …

La Corda D’Oro

I am going mad seriously….. mad with watch La Corda D’Oro!!!!<333 If telling you that I’ve watched 20 episodes of it [apparently there’s 25 episodes in total for the first season] in a day and a half doesn’t tell you anything, I don’t know what will. I will put a review about it soon, since there’s only 25 episodes, but I wish I wouldn’t love it so much! Putting aside the fact that watching it takes up a lot of time, not that I mind it, I will be very very sad when it ends…. D: Some people may not like it though, because it’s an anime focused mainly on music. However, it has some parts focused on romance! It’s based on the typical kind of manga where there’s one main girl and everyone falls in love with her… yep. The music’s really nice, and it always makes my day when I hear my favourite piece played by one of the characters in the anime… like Schubert’s Serenade<3 AND there’s so many likeable characters in the anime as well! …

Also…

What’s wrong with me today! I keep having the urge to type a post>< Anyway this is really short: Hmm I realise that [I shall be honest here] that my livejournal traffic isn’t really picking up. I’m kinda sad not because of the low traffic per se, but because I want to make more friends really! I want to meet more friends that disagree or agree with me on the dramas that I love/hate. SO this is just to ask for help! That if you like my livejournal, please comment^^ and tell your other friends about it as well. To be honest, I was thinking of closing down this livejournal, but I’ve decided, that even if few people are reading this, I will write for at least myself, and those who keep coming back. THANK YOU to those loyal readers, it’s because of you that I didn’t stop this. so… ONEGAISHIMASU! Please comment^^[things are getting so lonely here, I’m like monologuing each time] whenever you come and help me get it out there. thank you>< P.S I’m still waiting excitedly for …

Playful kiss

Well, I was just checking out some sites like Dramabeans and articles on Playful Kiss and I was …. sad. I already knew that the episode ratings of Playful Kiss was bad, but give it some chance eh? Apparently, people [ Im not saying all] blame the 3.5% of the first episode on Kim Hyun Joong and his bad acting. This is just my opinion, that he has improved a lot from BOF. There’s a reason why I didn’t like him in BOF and I do now in Playful Kiss right? [ Putting aside the fact that he looks much better here] and that reason is that I could see him acting to the potential of the character. There are people who say that oh, he doesn’t act arrogant enough etc, but each rendition from the manga would have its differences. Honestly saying, I don’t think that the male lead in the taiwan version was much better, but the episode ratings for that one was good. [I think]. Why? I think this is because Playful Kiss …

updates — Mermaid Melody and Playful Kiss

My exams are coming! So this website will be pretty cold for a while, but I promise I will try and put short updates when I have time, like now:D SO I’ve decided to sorta ditch Mermaid Melody after watching 13 episodes at one go. I think I got sick of it, especially since I watched so many episodes at once. I felt like I was watching a kindergarden show! I mean it’s fine to have a young target audience, but I was more perplex that the person who recommended it to me is 20 years old and told me it’s fabulous. [she just watched it mind you]. Basically, a mermaid Lucia saves human Kaito’s life. So one day Lucia became a human to find Kaito [and to get sth of hers back] but Kaito didn’t realise it’s her because her human form and her mermaid form are drastically different. [supposedly]. That much is still very sweet. So she works hard to remind Kaito who she is; she can’t reveal her own identity by herself because then she …

LIAR GAME The Final Stage Review

O my gosh this is one of the best movies I have ever watched! It's really fantastic and brilliant, and it's easier to understand the plot and the schemings as compared to the dramas. All right, I know it's out quite a few months ago but what can I doD: I refuse to watch it online and my country's only showing it now. Gomen ne~ The movie opened with the familiar Liar Game music and I was captivated from the start ALL the way till the end. [ Yes, putting aside the fact that I was momentarily distracted by my urge to…. answer some. ahem. call]  So, after all obstacles and determination, Kanzaki Nao [ Toda Erika ] and Shinichi Akiyama [ Matsuda Shota ] finally arrived at the Final Stage. Even though Nao didn't want to attend this stage, it was orchestrated such that she believed Akiyama needed her help and so she turned up at the island where the last game was to be held. The final stage is titled ' Garden Of Eden' where players had …

What you think you can find in a Korean Drama… and you probably would.

Previous post, I said that I will post an entry on the cliches of Korean Dramas and I was so inspired to write, I decided that no time is better than now. So let’s get started! What you think you can find in a Korean Drama and you probably would: 1.       Korean drama characters get sick in the rain very easily. Characters here fall sick so easily. They run in the rain, they walk in the rain, they get emotional in the rain, heck, they SING in the rain, what awaits them? Fever. Well, and also a very caring other lead, be it male or female, who will take care of him/her. If it’s not the rain that makes them sick then it is (refer to point number 2)  2.       Korean drama characters have poor immune systems. This means that they get sick from working overtime or even a broken heart. Does that sound better?  3.       The male characters are superb at making u-turns. Is it just me, or have you ever notice how the …

Personal Preference Review

Personal Preference! The first thing I have to say is — if you hated Lee Min Ho from BOF because of his hair, his character and everything else, don’t let that stop you from watching Personal Preference! All right, on with the synopsis of the story. Jeon Jin Ho ( Lee Min Ho) is an aspiring architect who is really good but is always defeated by Chang Ryul (Kim Ji Suk) and his evil father. As Jin Ho did not want to go down without a fight, he decided to partake in the competition to see who gets to build the upcoming mega project — the Dam Art Gallery. He heard rumours that this gallery was supposed to be based on the concept of Sanggojae, a traditional korean house. He could not understand why and he grabbed the opportunity to move into Sanggojae when the chance arrived. However, he was misunderstood to be gay by Kae In (So Ye Jin), the landlady of the house. Kae In was just recently hurt by her relationship with Chang Ryul, who, …

Nodame Cantabile Live Action Drama + Movie Review

NODAMEEEEE! Okay sorry:P That was the fangirl side of me going slightly crazy over this fantastic live action drama. I absolutely love the characters in here and the music as well! I actually watched the drama a long time ago but I decided that I would only blog a review about it when I finally watched the Movie. Which I did. FINALLY. YES. So. Nodame (Ueno Juri) is a really innocent and sweet girl who is a really really talented pianist. She loves playing by the ear and because of this, she cannot sightread well. She is really messy and dirty. In fact, her appartment is recognised by the heaps and heaps of soft toys and don’t-know-what-else junk. Enters the handsome guy of the story, Chiaki ( Tamaki Hiroshi. AHHH) who is also a very talented pianist. In fact he’s talented at everything. He can play the violin, he can play the piano, but the thing that he wants to do the most is to go to Vienna ( I think) and be a famous …

Dance In The Vampire Bund Review

I was trying to look for animes that are ongoing and quite recent and I was hooked on DANCE IN THE VAMPIRE BUND! There’s just something interesting about vampires. Think Vampire Knight. However, Dance in the Vampire Bund is nothing like Vampire Knight! Well, if you want to talk about the most obvious things, DITVB is created for ecchi purposes which means that most characters can’t help but succumb to the urge to strip or show some body parts. To me anyway. It was relatively disturbing for me as I am quite new to the anime and manga world, seeing as I have been previously swimming in the drama ocean. Nevertheless, I kept on because of the story plot which really draws me in. Princess Mina is the Vampire Queen and she strives to keep a healthy relationship between the vampires and the humans. She sets out to achieve this by manipulating the Japan’s economy so that they have no chance but to allow her and her vampires to settle down in a piece of land that is in Japan. …

Special A Review

I was watching Kaichou Wa Maid Sama anime recently but since I have finished watching the existing episodes, I decided to watch another anime that was very popular and that is -drumrolllll- SPECIAL A! tadahh. I’ve heard that Kaichou Wa Maid Sama is highly similar to Special A, and so out of curiosity I checked it out! Indeed, the characters, at least the two main ones, share a lot of similarities. The girls are both strong, hardworking and equally a dunce when it comes to love and feelings. The guys are perfect, handsome and cool, though I have yet to find out if the one in Kaichou is as rich as the one in Special A. So, what do I think of this anime? It is quite funny and sweet! The pairing may be a little cliche and all, but I think what really touches me is the friendship. Somehow, friendships to me are the sweetest things ever and in Special A, there’s a lot of friendships forged and strengthened! Kei, Hikari, Jun, Megumi, Ryuu, Akira and …

Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge Review

The only reason why I started watching this was because I realised that it was based on The Wallflower, ( a manga that my friend loves but I never got to read it). Basically, the plot is about how these four ikemen ( handsome guys)who live together in a boarding house and the landlord wants them to turn her niece into a lady. Her niece, Sanoko ( Oomasa Aya) is… weird. She is somone who loves horror too much, who squeals at the sight of blood, who sleeps in a confin-like bed ( I wonder how she breathes in there?) and etc. The landlord promises that if the four of them manage to turn her into a lady, they will not need to pay their rent ever. EVER. This sure sounded good to Kyohei, ( the supposedly-most-handsome guy among the four, acted by Kamenashi Kazuya) and so he works hard to turn her normal. Soon, however, the four of them get to love Sanoko as who she is and they begin to wonder what really is ‘normal’ …
