In Time With You Episode 1 Review

Thoughtsramble is finally back to slightly more normal. Well, the normal pace of watching dramas.

I've not watched a single drama with Ariel Lin, unless you count snatches and glimpses of It Started With A Kiss, which I didn't like at all. The reason why I was interested in watching this was because of how similar the basis of the story is as compared to a book I once read before, called Thirty Nothing by Lisa Jewell. Of course, the development of both plots take different paths, but both have two leads who had a bet. A bet to get hooked up/ a marriage at the age of 30.

And of course, they wouldn't be able to fulfil this bet, because even the most inexperienced drama-watcher should be able to tell, that their answers lie in each other.

I guess I'm definitely more comfortable with Ariel Lin as a normal girl acting her age and her mentality. Xiang Qin was definitely not my cup of tea.

K.O.3an Guo’s Behind The Scenes

Really tempted to post this for a long time, and after reading dangermousie's, I've decided to put this into action lol~ Hahahah this never fails to give me a good laugh:

credited to:labeillebubee

Found this some time ago when I was watching KO One and looking for behind the scenes. I totally cracked up^^ Hahah it's no secret that I like Aaron and to a lesser extent, Fahrenheit (refer here:http://thoughtsramble.livejournal.com/49730.html for full story lol) , so it was cute to see him stumbling. I'm actually so tempted to post all the funny behind the scenes of some shows, but then yet again, I don't think I will make this into a personal fangirling space. So we shall see!^^

Ending off with this:

credited to:jazs1505
subs credited to thoughtsramble: Aaron said, “We have finally regained our powers, so we will like to travel through dimensions^^” Calvin went on,”Shakespeare said ‘A delightful voyage, can give relaxation to a warrior with feelings of tension.” Jiro ended, “I have a quote too” (observe Aaron’s face of -oh really?- hahaha) “Tiramisu says…a sinful enjoyment….can loosen a woman’s tight stomach.” (note: play of puns here on ‘tension’ and ‘tight’, ‘relaxation’ and ‘loosen’)

HAHAHAHAHAHA. Omg priceless, that Jiro. Even though KO One didn't go down very well with me, I must say that it's really funny. To me, it's the kind of humour that it's soooooo random and lame that it reaches the point of hilarity. And while I meant it as a somewhat compliment, it does sound like a veiled insult. Oh well.

And since I'm at it anyway, allow me to post a recent photo of Fahrenheit^^ (right, in case you are wondering why there’s still the four of them, it’s a photo on their recent trip to Japan as ambassadors of the Taiwan Tourism Board)

credited to:Weibo/t.sina.com

Gotta love Jiro for how funny he is (watched his hosting before, and of course the many videos), Wu Zun for being like a big brother, Aaron (oh well let's just say I really like him after Love Buffet(:) and Calvin…. uhm Calvin for being funny and uhm being understanding about his situation of being in a group constantly labelled as 'three hot guys and a Calvin' ….heh:P (rather like the first picture on the left)

Cookies And Cream

is my favourite flavour everrrr.((:

Sorry for the lack of updates here! I've been really, really, really busy these days, and to put you in perspective, I haven't had any chance to watch any dramas at all for the past week0.0 which… is a feat in itself. Granted, I've been watching Nodame's specials and movie (again again!!!!! I love Nodame Cantabile, who's with me!!(:) but even Protect The Boss has to come to an hiatus simply because I don't have enough time:/

So pardon me if you keep coming back and you don't find new updates! I have no idea when this crazy bout of things will end, but rest assured that I will update as soon as I have the chance!(: Recaps, reviews, book reviews, whatever(:

Actually, I'm thinking of watching Nodame Cantabile's anime/ Ouran High School Host Club Anime/ Ouran High School Host Club live action drama when I'm free. Other than that, I might carry out the plan of going through more Studio Ghibli films (<3 Howl's Moving Castle!(:) Yes, if you've noticed… those are all Japanese. Hmm, of course I will finish up with Mei Le Jia You and Protect The Boss. I'm kind of looking forward to Ariel Lin's new drama which sounds interesting.

Not to mention that I've watched Episode 5 of Sunshine Angel…. and it looks interesting, contrary to my own belief. Heh:P For all you know, I might just continue watching Sunshine Angel, since there will be cute cameos by Jiro, Calvin and Aaron (yay!) Hmm but then yet again, I've finished watching the cameo bits ages ago (Love love love Aaron in his full dorkiness) because I didn't think I would be interested to watch Wu Zun (really interested in him till his acting in Princess……)

On the Korean side, I don't know…. any good kdramas recently? I think my last kdrama was Heartstrings… :< which wasn't thattttt good.

Au revoir!

Shamer’s Chronicles

Omg…. just invested myself in this series for the past few days…. and I don't regret it at all! I've finished three books in two days, much at the expense of my other things-to-do, but it was worth it. ^^

Shamer's Chronicles consists of 4 books — The Shamer's Daughter, The Shamer's Signet, The Serpent's Gift and the Shamer's War. It all started with the story being written in Dina's point of view. Dina has a Shamer for a mother. This means that her mother could look into others' eyes and see into their minds. Their shame, petty deeds and guilt will be reflected right back at them. This also entails that no one really dares to look into Dina's eyes, because she had the Gift as well. When her mother is in danger because of an evil plot, she has to use her wits to save her.

I love the premise of this story. I've always had a soft spot for fantasy novels and while the target audience may be for a younger audience, I thoroughly enjoyed myself! I like the writing style of the author, and I love the characters…and that's always almost a sure way to get me into the books.

Book 1 was more a starter, come to think of it, but it sets the grounds right for the following three stories. Shamer's Signet diverges into two point of views — Dina's and Davin's. Shamer's Signet became better, with the inclusion of a new character and the Shamer's War, now that's usually the best because that's the end. The final thing.

YongSeo!!!

credited to:seoshified/www.soompi.com
Aaaahh I finished watching all 51 episodes of YongSeo today!! And I already miss them so much! It's not so much about withdrawal symptoms but rather, knowing that they will have lesser opportunities to meet each other.

The fact that they are a 'real-couple' in that sense of the word probably allow more fans to hope fervently that the Goguma couple can become real in reality. Shipping a relationship between actors of the same drama is somewhat tenous compared to shipping this couple, who is having couple interactions at the real level! This is what won me over anyway, the sincerity that they face each other with, despite their dates and actions being followed closely by the camera. (One of my initial reservations about watching We Got Married because, seriously, who can grow love when a camera's in your face!)

I must admit that I cried at the last episode because one could tell that they just don't want to leave each other and aww, it was sad how SeoHyun cried, and how she didn't want to leave, and coming out to give YongHwa a last hug. They did so many sweet things for each other and I like how we are seeing their true characters, unlike drama characters which are scripted! (Though my heart's still with dramas of course:P)

Some are telling me to watch the Adam couple, or the Khuntoria (whom I heard is separating too?) one. I'll think about it. After all, I know that I will definitely be biased towards YongSeo right now.

Hanazakari no Kimitachi e 2011 Remake Episode 10 Recap

Apologies for the late recap!(: Was really really really busy last week, but it should be better this week.

If favourite-est is a word (well obviously it isn't, but it is in thoughtsramble's world(: ), then this should be the favouriter-est episode, or the best episode so far. I actually teared a few times because it was quite touching. Oh well, my buttons are easy to push.

Episode recap over here!

Just a quick look

Just took a quick look through my archives and wow discovered reviews/recaps done by myself which I've kinda forgotten:P And I discovered  that there are quite a number of comments which I've totally forgotten to reply (there goes my policy of replying every single comment lol). Anyway, Hmm it's too early, since it's still September, to do a round of 2011's dramas and animes and shows and books and what-not….but till now I must say that

City Hunter remains the Drama of The Year. I mean, this show seriously just sent all the other dramas out there stumbling to get their feets steady. Of course, there were other good dramas as well, but I guess the brilliant mix of action, romance, revenge (meaning plot) is just my right cup of tea. Not to mention having the Tragic-And-Torn Hero of The Year going to Lee Yoon Sung and The Most Likeable Female Lead going to Nana.

Though of course, I must say, after watching for the nth time (okay probably only the third time), Buzzer Beat remains all-time favourite! It's mix of dreams, music, basketball (watching good-looking guys playing good bball games just send me into a fangirling craze, lol totally guilty), realistic-enough such that you wish it happens to you too plot together with Yamapi and Kitagawa Keiko earns itself a place on my favourites' list.

Well, these two dramas have earned a steady spot there……… but I'm looking forward to the (miraculous) appearance of dramas in the last three months of the year to set them running for their money.

Love Keeps Going

I can't believe lol how I just screwed up my drama-watching. Here goes the story: I've been watching this drama for bits and pieces till about Episode 6, where I started to watch each episode at its full length….and then out pops many committments so I was forced to drop this drama/watch bits and pieces again. Thinking that I had a bit of time today, I picked up the drama again, and found it strange that the site told me there were 25 episodes to be watched. Hmm. Then the site didn't work so I went to another streaming site, and happily watched Episode 13, thinking that hey I have a blissful number of 12 more episodes to go.

Now if you have already finished this drama, you would know where I'm leading to.

Indeed, imagine my surprise when I reached the last part and discovered…. episode 13 is the last episode.

!!!!

Thank goodness I haven't watched the last part — so I shall watch it with the mindset that it's the last episode from now, albeit a bit too late. Lol.

Thinking that I had 12 more episodes to go, I'd also decided not to watch from somewhere in Episode 11, and that I shall leave it to my awesome deductive skills which are built up from years of watching dramas. Well…turns out that true, I could survive Episode 13 without going back to Episode 11, but now I feel :/// about it. I mean, it's the last episode!:O I can't even evaluate it properly because all the time I thought that I had so many more episodes to go.

I blame the website seriously. Haha.

Just thinking

I like knowing where I stand.

I want to write entries that people will read and be motivated to leave a comment, which is happening I'm glad, but not as many as I'd have wished to see. I mean, what's the use of having many readers when they just come and go?

I don't know, am probably just in one of rare I'm-actually-caring-about-this mood which will bypass pretty soon, but for now, allow me a rant.

Saying things like oh I shouldn't compare with the other drama blogs out there won't work, because I should compare right? There must be something that I work towards to, but I don't know what. Someone really nice offered to talk about my livejournal on her livejournal, but that offer was like one year back and I don't think she did it in the end, but I really appreciated the offer. I mean, sometimes I get really happy because my livejournal is actually known and recommended for some recaps by others, but I don't know just how successful, or failing I am in this livejournal.

Misunderstand me not, I don't mean that I don't have readers, I do actually and I hope I don't jinx this by saying that it's at a stable level that pleases me a lot….but I don't know:/ I don't know how to judge the standard of my livejournal and it's not nice because I like knowing where I stand! People know dramabeans(which still pretty much dominates the scene), akoala's playground, and perhaps a few here and there, but do anyone know thoughtsramble?

I don't think, of course, that I have a pathetic livejournal with no readers, because truth to be told, I'm darn proud of the work that I've built up over the year and the relationships I've built with my readers. But it just doesn't feel nice when some could post up an entry and then perhaps in a few days, garner 10 comments, which don't seem a lot, but it's a lot to me.

I feel like I'm talking to a wall if you get what I mean. Though this is probably partly due to me not having enough time to build thoughtsramble properly. I really like writing and wanting to take this to a new level, but committments prevent me from doing so. I've barely enough time to share recaps and thoughts on the dramas I like, not to mention having time to 'socialise' in the drama world and hope to make drama buddies.

So there goes my rant. I will be fine in probably like, a few hours, but for now, I'm just in an irritated mood. Lol.

The Graveyard Book

Was what I've finished in one sitting yesterday. This is my first Neil Gaiman book and I was expecting more angst, more dystopian elements but I didn't realise that the book I was holding was probably a book tailored for the younger audience. Which is fine, because I love this book(:

Neil Gaiman's writing style fits my liking and while I'm never one who believes in good introductions (I mean, how many good books you know actually have good introductions? That's just a theory but not many acclaimed books can actually hook the readers in within that first two pages, whom everyone claimed is the most important part of a story ), the Graveyard Book opens with a man called Jack who killed three members of a family and he couldn't wait to kill the last member — the toddler.

Now, that's what I call a good introduction with its fishing line, bait and hook all ready.

It's all about a boy called Nobody Owens who grew up in a graveyard with ghosts for parents and friends, and he had a guardian called Silas. He really wanted to step out of the graveyard to discover his own world but a man called Jack would kill him if he did so.

What I like about this book is that even though the story elements are probably for children, it aint a happy ending per se. I would think it's more a bittersweet ending, which you will understand if you read it.

Sigh, I abhor turning the last page of my favourite stories.

LADY~Saigo No Hanzai Profile~

Based on my limited understanding of Japanese, that meant the profile of the last criminal/suspect. Or something.

Yep so this is Kitagawa Keiko!

This drama gave me creeps for a couple of days because the criminals are just damn pyschotic. I can't believe I cried over one of the psychotic cases   Some of the pyschos are actually portrayed in such a pitiful manner that I was kinda touched. Okay, actually only one. There was this pyscho who killed three people because he believed that their blood would bring his dead girlfriend to life again, and I don't know, his grief (oh wait, this is wayyy beyond grief) and his love for his lover combined with how Kazuki (Kitagawa Keiko's role) managed to get him relinquished his hold on the dagger was sad and touching.

I'm currently on Episode 6, but this drama is taken a bit slowly because I can't really bring myself to watch this in the wee hours. Am not afraid of ghosts, but give me pyschotic killers any time, and I will run screaming faster than you can imagine. I mean, admit it, how many of you guys pull open your bathroom curtain expecting to see a killer there? Hah, caught ya. Lol.

I wouldn't say that this drama is excellent. I'm one for good characterisation, but for this drama, its plot is more interesting than its characters, which doesn't work as well for me…because you fangirl over characters right? I mean who fangirls over pyschotic killers seriously. But it's definitely a good watch, with its fair share of pyscho-ness and killers and dead girls. Hey, it just occured to me — why are all the victims girls hmm.

Scoops!

Hello readers(:

It has only just occured to me that……….. since a long long time in history, I'm not rushing to recap something:P Feels kinda relaxing actually~ I've always found myself in the situation whereby I have to 1.recap let's say 3 series at the same time 2.drama-marathoning and hence causing a backlog of updated recaps 3.okay that's about it.

Haha!

This time round, I'm not going to take up doing recaps on a couple of dramas, one being Heartstrings (which I still haven't finished, due to me picking up YongSeo couple on We Got Married, and thus not as motivated to finish watching ShinHwa….can you believe it, I'm already at the last episode… fine, I think I will finish it soonXD) and another being LADY~Saigo no Hanzai Profile~ with Kitagawa Keiko. However, I will still be doing reviews on these dramas (Do you know^^ thoughtsramble starts out as a site for reviews and not recaps, because I felt bad whenever an episode recap gives spoilers:P oh well, it has now progressed to a stage where I like to share what I think and hear about what you think…)

Ah~ And I'm still loving YongSeo couple<3 Such a cute goguma couple!:D It was so sweet when they finally held hands after exchanging birthday presents, and the duet performance on their 200th day anniversary was really awesome as well(Y) Hahaha I found it really hilarious when one of the MCs was like, "I feel like I should start crying!" Everyone in the studio was so happy that they finally had what they called 'skinship' hahaha^^ I'm currently on their 32nd episode with them having a date in Japan! (in a struggling state to control the number of episodes I watch a day:P)

Oh well. I will definitely miss this couple when it endsD:

YongSeo couple

I must say that I never was, and still am not, a fan of Kpop. It is not that I particularly dislike that genre of songs or anything, neither is it due to some weird adversion simply because it's korean (hello, here's someone who adores kdramas with its osts)… it's just that those kpop songs don't make me feel anything and most of them (I note the generalisation) are dance songs that are tailored to show off more looks rather than emotions.

Okay that introduction was kinda off-topic…anyway, here's what I've been obsessed about for the past few days!

credited to:http://static.allkpop.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/100829_Korean_Wave_Yongseo_6.jpg

It has only been about 3 days since I've got hooked on this very awkward and cute couple, and I've just finished 29 episodes.

…..

Okay sounds a bit crazy, don't you think?:P I was already interested right from the first episode, because these two people are just soooo awkward… it's so funny and cute to watch 😛 Not to mention that Jung Yong Hwa/C.N.Blue is one of the few kpop people that I have a better impression of (link to introduction), after listening to some of their songs, and watching YongHwa appears as both likeable characters — Shin and Shin Woo-  spiked my interest already.

It is fun watching how the relationship between YongHwa and SeoHyun grows as they become closer and less awkward. And SeoHyun is just so cute!^^

Telling myself that I should stop watching, or this relationship will be over within like… one day.

Any of my readers has watched YongSeo? Share!

City Hunter Episode 1-20 in one glance

Haha this isn't a recap, no, not really….. but as I was looking through the hundreds of screenshots I took in order to recap City Hunter, I felt that some of the scenes were really so memorable, that I couldn't help but mentally already choose out some of the best screenshots representing some of the most memorable scenes. I've decided to put them all here, so that you(and I) can reminisce about City Hunter in one glance. Lol. Tags of City Hunter Recaps are on your left -indicate to the tags- so do read them if you want(:

Just a tiny scoop

LOL this is not one of my usual updates' post, but merely a post on fangirling because I'm currently watching Buzzer Beat again (for perhaps the 4th time?) and I just wanna say that I <3333 the Basketball scene! For those who actually watched before, I'm referring to the one where Naoki couldn't shoot in for the first hoop and Riko scolded him, after which Naoki shot in, a nice and perfect arc.

I CAN'T EXPRESS HOW MUCH I LOVE THAT SCENE, REALLY.

I mean I just love how Riko made Naoki play well in the basketball match!!! It's one of the scenes that sure to make me go squealing and clutching whatever cushions that's next to me hahah!

<3thoughtsramble

Hold your horses (and mine)

Well with regards to the previous post I made…. I think it's still safer not to be too excited about it. (Lol I've calmed down relatively quickly eh? It has been barely a few minutes since I posted the last entry hahaha)

This is because I've known general media to be rather…..manipulative with words, and they know what hot news they 'have' if Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young are going out.

So I'm just cautiously reminding you guys, that there IS a possibility that they aren't together, and are just merely friends.

Well, but a girl can dream~

<3thoughtsramble

WHOO LEE MIN HO AND PARK MIN YOUNG DATING?

Hahahaha my gosh! Am I so slow on the uptake of news??? HOW LONG HAS THIS BEEN GOING ON???

I've only been just told that Lee Min Ho has gotten together with Park Min Young!! -squeal- Omygosh this is every dramahardcorefan's dream come true! I mean how many times have you watched a drama, think that they are the sweetest couple ever, and wish that they will be going out together?? And this is talking about my favourite couple — Nana and City Hunter.

In case you need some form of verification, like me, just so you know, you don't succumb to the wild fantasies of fans, here's an article that I found online:

" SEOUL: Korean actor Lee Min Ho has finally gotten himself a girlfriend, and the lucky girl is none other than Park Min Young, his co-star from the recently-concluded drama "City Hunter".

Their agencies confirmed Tuesday that the two have been dating for over a month after shooting ended.

Apparently, love had blossomed between the two on the set, but Lee and 25-year-old Park only started going out after shooting wrapped up in July.

Prior to the announcement from their agencies, the couple were rumoured to be seeing each other, after pictures of their frequent meetings surfaced on the Internet.

Lee and Park first met while filming 2007's high-school drama "I Am Sam", where Park was the lead actress and Lee in a minor role with the supporting cast.

Agencies' reps have requested that the media and fans give the young couple more privacy as they are still in the getting-to-know-each-other-better stage.

Really, I totally approve.

I mean come one, who won't fall in love with Lee Min Ho who acted so well, and Park Min Young, who did such a good job of a lovable Nana? I knew it, ever since I found out months ago that they've acted in I'm Sam before together, I've been dreaming that they were friends before that and then they can go on to be in a relationship. 😀

Please let them have a long lasting relationship:DDD Lol and I wonder how many girls'/ guys' hearts are broken.

Definitely not mine, I'm in ECSTASY!

<3thoughtsramble

Scoops

Lol I just like that word as a substitute of 'Updates'…. feels like I'm telling you guys scoops of what's going on in my dramalife:P

Anyway, here's a short post 😛 I'm utterly hooked on Heartstrings!!!!!!!! Okay plot wise, obviously it's no where as brilliant as City Hunter, but I do know that they are kinda in different genres, and hence it will be quite stupid to compare whether which one is better in terms of plot. Yong Hwa was absolutely lovable and his acting really improved. Kudos! WHOO WHAT DID I TELL YOU GUYS, THAT SHIN WOO WAS MORE SUITABLE FOR MI NAM MORE THAN TAE KYUANG?? (LOLL sorry shin woo fan here:PPPP) Well his chemistry with Park Shin Hye is quite awesome and SO SWEET. (In case you are wondering why the sudden onslaught of caps and exclamation marks, this is because I've just finished watching episode 10, where Shin kissed Gyu Won in front of all the girls<33)

Still watching Hana Kimi Remake of course, do check out the Recaps.

Last Episode of City Hunter will be out this week, but I doubt anyone is really reading them for the purpose of like, 'episode recaps', since it ends quite a few weeks ago.

In this case, I might not do Heartstrings' Recaps, since I'm drama-marathoning the episodes. But they are so sweet; I'm taking many screenshots already!! Maybe when I finished watching I will just upload all those screenshotsXD

……Nana and Yoon Sung still remains my favourite couple pairing though. Winner.

………….but Shin and Gyo Won is not too far behindXDDDDD

……………..and it seems like Episode 11 is going to be more exciting!!

City Hunter Episode 19 Recap

Well maybe I should have done those City Hunter recaps when I could, because those videos that I depend on for good screenshots in HD are currently not available right now. Psh. It defies my perfectionistic personality to end the drama recap series with less than HD-and-large screenshots. Besides, the new videos that I found right now, they don't load at one go, which means that I will have to watch through every second and sometimes, wait for buffering. Woes~
I CRIED A LOT AT THE END

Lj scribe, and mini scoops of updates

Hello guys!

My week is slowly ending and entering yet another week of insanity. It will be crazy with my studies and hence, recaps will come later, but I will still post regularly.

I'm currently watching Heartstrings now, finally I get some sense of what's going on and am finally interested in the characters. Phew. I thought it had lost me. It really depends on various factors if I will do recaps for Heartstrings, because as you know, (well if you don't I'm telling you now:P) those take lots of timeD: but it will be so fun to do the recaps… so we shall see how!

Was planning to come up with either a City Hunter recap or a Hana Kimi one today, but somehow, Internet's not on my side, and hence the videos wouldn't load, and then I can't rewatch it (even though I have a pretty good memory for what happened in dramas, I'd rather watch it again so as to avoid any possible discrepencies in recaps) and then you don't have the recaps. ><. Lol. Since today's my only free day in the upcoming days, I must apologise that the recaps might come late!

Oh right, and out of some fun, I've decided to partake in this lj-scribe contest. This is one of the livejournals that are probably owned by the Livejournal people, I don't know, and they have weekly contests, which you might have heard of. So I'm participating in this week/month 's theme where we had to write a limerick based on the social media, and here's my entry! http://lj-scribe.livejournal.com/256533.html It will be really great if you could take some time to help vote for me, as finalists are chosen based on the number of +1s they have.

Please do vote only if you think it's good! So read it haha, it wouldn't take long, it's only five lines.

Thanks!
